Totti was being reckless the entire game. Was the specific incident soft? Maybe (it was still a dive), but it was no less than he deserved. And the offside call was ambiguous – it could've gone either way. You make it sound like it was blatantly onside, when even replays are indecisive. (and also note that our defense and goalkeeper didn't even try to block the shot once the whistle went – Tommasi scored against a team that had basically stopped playing). And that's not even looking at the bigger point, which is that a team of Italy's stature should not need an ambiguous onside call to score twice against a team of Korea's stature.

If you were Spanish then you'd have a case. But Italy or Portugal? No.

And you're going to complain about two Hitler posters, when you're from a country where fans regularly heckle Balotelli for his skin color? Not saying Naziism is okay or anything (and I deplore the people who did that in the video), but you really don't have any ground to stand here.

Korea-Italia or not, look at the other Italy matches, they are all fixed. Every game italy scored a goal that was regular but no, fuck ref. And then, what about the fouls against Italy in Korea-Italy? A Korean player has kick has kick Coco in the head, that was red card!

Cough Italy-USA Cough......cough cough.....BS reds to US

Cough cough Italy-Austrailia cough cough BULLSHIT FUCKING PK in the 93 minute cough cough cough

what fas the problem at italy usa? De Rossi had a red card and it was allright, that was very horrible

Brasil - Belgium was also a sign of bad refereeing. Clear Wilmots goal denied. Not that Belgium would've made a chance anyway back then, but still. 0-1 against the (to be) world champions.

WC 2002 was overall bad refereeing. Italy level refereeing

yes but the most chetead team was italy and spain. And who won WC after? 2006 - Italy 2010 - Spain. And who knows, maybe the litle ref help from the ref to italy (australia-italy example) was planed. And i heard Spain 2010 had "cheated" too. Fifa-Planed?

Plenty of fouls the other way too. Face it, the refereeing wasn't great, but Trap's defensive tactics are what lost Italy the tournament.

--------------

Anyway, I don't see us advancing. Our fullbacks are too weak (especially compared to Belgium's wingers), and our federation didn't appoint the manager early enough to give him time to mold his team.

Belgium and Russia for me. Capello is a great manager, perfect for this kind of tournament.

I'm withdrawing all my poll decisions, since I've come to my senses and remembered that I'm not a psychic, so I don't know what's gonna happen. :(

That was frustrating and infuriating. I was supporting Belgium because we didn't participate thanks to earlier Spanish cheating (they bought a game to win it 12 - 1, Spain was 0-1 down at half time and scored 12 goals in the second half to qualify instead of us on goal difference... thus starting my never ending rage against their filthy existence) and it is fucking fucked up by FUCKING refereeing, as always with Brazil (who fucked us in a similar way in '98, by the way). So very lame. I am glad we got back to those motherfuckers in 2010, though it didn't really bring a lot in the end because that other cheating rapist team was already waiting to fuck us again in the final.

Now that I think of it. I'm not even that excited for this WC. Shit's been getting worse and worse so rapidly quick these past years, it'll be nothing more than a fucked up piece of shit with many errors and frustrations that are likely even made on purpose, because FIFA is just that corrupt and hungry for money. As long as FIFA is in charge of all this shit, it's just not too appealing to me anymore because I simply cannot take it as serious.

Australia was good but i think italy would win the game even without the penatly. After winning the Group like a boss, sending ghana cech and the usa (fuck zaccardo) to the hell, its not immaginable to loose against australia

We were better than all those teams u mentioned that year, plus we had hiddink and no italy wouldnt have beaten us without that bs penalty. I dont hate italy, but i despise totti, that cunt deserves to be ambushed and lynched on a slow fire.

Prendergast. I"ll never forget that name. A national trauma.

Anyway, Belgium and Russia should qualify easily for the next round.

Keepers :

Thibaut Courtois (Atlético Madrid), Simon Mignolet (Liverpool), Koen Casteels (Hoffenheim) en Silvio Proto (Anderlecht).

Comment : 3 logic choices, if Casteels doesn't manage to be fit on time Proto will follow him up. Despise being an incredible cunt, he's one of the best Belgian keepers tho. But doubt someone else than Courtois will even come close to starting.

Defenders :

Laurent Ciman (Standard), Vincent Kompany (Man City), Daniel Van Buyten (Bayern München), Toby Alderweireld (Atlético Madrid), Thomas Vermaelen (Arsenal), Nicolas Lombaerts (Zenit), Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham) en Anthony Vanden Borre (Anderlecht).

Comment : Again logical choices, except Vanden Borre. Fuck that cunt. Don't know why Wilmots called him up. Only played 3 months good or so. Pitty player, lousy mentality.

Midfield :

Moussa Dembélé (Tottenham), Marouane Fellaini (Man United), Kevin De Bruyne (Wolfsburg), Nacer Chadli (Tottenham), Axel Witsel (Zenit) en Steven Defour (Porto).

Comment :Don't understand why Nainggolan isn't called up, ridiculious. But again expected names. Fellaine will seriously have to step up if he wants to play.

Attackers :

Eden Hazard (Chelsea), Romelu Lukaku (Everton), Dries Mertens (Napoli), Kevin Mirallas (Everton), Adnan Januzaj (Man United) en Divock Origi (Lille).

Comment : Januzaj is a welcome addition, Origi is a bit a weird bird to me. Haven't followed him. Expected Batshuayi or Vossen. Anyway, welcome addition based on stats and gameplay (what Wilmots explained)

Extra: - Stand by for injury

Radja Nainggolan (AS Roma), Sébastien Pocognoli (Hannover 96), Thorgan Hazard (Zulte Waregem), Guillaume Gillet (RSC Anderlecht), Michy Batshuayi (Standard) en Jelle Van Damme (Standard)

Comment : Nainggolan and Pocognoli out are a massive shock to me. Poco is a good stand-in, since he can play on both flanks defense. Nainggolan surely deserved it more than Fellaini imo.

And Batshuayi as topscorer of the league out for Origi. Well, let's hope it turns out well.

You guys lack fullbacks badly. But are well covered in every other position and even more important, with YOUNG players.

Wilmots' overhead kick against Japan is one of my favourite moments of 2002 WC.It's interesting to see him as a coach 12 yrs later

haha come on man it was a BS PK.... at the 93rd minute. Most questionable call I have ever seen at a WC other than the 8 offsides call against Spain when they played Korea

Exactly. Pocognoli would be a good back up for our 'shitty full backs' Vertonghen isn't the worst though. Amazing player on LB. But Alderweireld doesn't have the speed nor positional knowledge to be a RB. I'm afraid the RB is the weakest point.

Either way if Belgium goes first in this group, Germany or Portugal await. Most likely Portugal. Will be interesting to see how Wilmots arms himself against their speedy pacy wings. And of course, the lethalness of Ronaldo
