Mazzarri hasn't got the balls to substitute Cambiasso let alone not start him. You're right though. Cambiasso is the problem.

I like Guarin in some respects, but in my opinion he should be the muscle of the midfield who plays as simple as humanly possible. For some reason though he's trying to be the star creator, finisher, dribbler, and Hulk.

I believe if Guarin simplified his game he's be a very useful contributor. The fact is he is probably the most physically imposing midfielder in the league, and that should be the core of his game. Not his skill, or lack there of.

But we both know Cambiasso is the only person Walter trusts in front of the defense. We are really living and dying by Cambiasso right now, because our only other option is Mudingayi who is coming back from injury. And Walt has shown no signs of wanting to start him.

I like the line up you posted earlier in another thread. However, I think if we're being realistic Taider will come in for Guarin before we sit Cambiasso. We just need to hunker down and get through these next few weeks, then pray to god Thohir buys a player capable of benching Cambiasso.

If we could get 20m for Guarin, we should take it. I respect his efficiency of late, and he was better against Parma than he has been for a while, but still.. Him + An aging cambiasso are the big problems in our midfield. If we replaced Cambiasso with Nainggolan and Guarin with someone quite physical but box to box - we could be mucah better
