He was supposed to go to Cagliari on a loan, so we can get Nainggolan, but that obviously ain't happening. Right now, he's at Inter.

They play a kind of 3-5-2/3-4-1-2 but tbh the only ones I see as starters are Bardi, Benassi and Duncan. Up top there is the vice-captain Dionisi and the incredible Paulinho, so I can't see Longo or Botta fitting in up top. That leaves the LM position for Laxalt (as in CM it's packed with Duncan, Benassi, Belingheri and the captain don't remember his name) but there is rough competition with Gemiti in front of him.

But a midfield of Benassi-Duncan is fucking awesome, they complement eachother so well. Looking forward to watching them play.

I'd like to see Duncan in Inter's bench next season, even if he doesn't become a starter in the beginning of the season

there's no reason why duncan can be our starting or maybe supersub at midfield,,

Thanks for the info. Surprising that they wanted Laxalt because I'm struggling to see how he fits into either of those formations and he really does seem to be just a pure winger.

Chill bros. I know everyone around here loves duncan, i admit he seems like a promising prospect but I don't think he is good enough to start for us right now. Maybe in some cup games and sub appearances but I think he needs more experience before starting. If we can ship him somewhere where he will get consistent playing time.. i'm all for it.

If Livorno truly wants Botta, Laxalt, Longo, and Duncan all on loan, then I wouldn't be surprised to see a 3-4-3 type tactic of:

Bardi
Decarli Bernardini Émerson
Benassi
Schiattarella - - - - - - - Duncan
Botta
Paulinho - Longo - Laxalt​

This manages to accommodate the Inter players, and it's worth noting that Nicola has played a 3-4-3 in the past. Additionally I don't think Dionisi will be as effective in Serie A.

Lol , it's not that Livorno is forced to play all inter players. From them only Bardi and Duncan (if he goes there) have probably a secure spot , the others will probably be benched.

I don't think Benassi, Longo, or Botta will be benched. Perhaps Laxalt, but realize that likely Inter will only loan them out if they get regular playing time.

These are all development loans, so I don't think the club would be willing to send some of their more promising youngsters to be benchwarmers.

Compared to Alvarez and Cambiasso, I don't see why Duncan isn't a regular starter.

U can force these kind of clauses , will an obligatory playing time in smaller serie B clubs (like we have done sometimes) but not in Serie A. The stakes are to high and Livorno would have 0 interest in agreeing to this. Just giving them the possibility to fight for 1st team spot is more then enough because they wouldn't have that at inter.
