Yes, i agree, the problem is that Nuggets have no player in the same line than Nowitzki, a great bunch of player which 1 or 2 could be all-star yes, but it is enough? Pistons had 3 or 4 all-stars in 2004 for ex.

Did I say average? I said above average. He was the only "star." Everyone else was a bunch of "above average" or past their prime veterans. We live under a rule where two stars are needed to contend, but the Mavs only had one star.

The difference though, is that the Mavericks had people step up. Like Chandler dominating the paint, I don't really see the Nuggets doing that, or I guess I should say I don't see anybody from the Nuggets doing that.

The Knicks strike me as one of those teams that will be good in NBA 2k, but in real life, not so much. I don't like the make-up of that team at all.

Why is that? you have 2 or 3 excellent defensive weapons, 2 of the best offensive players in the L, plus Felton who is much better than Lin. Camby and Smith 2 of the best bench players in the L.
I know they failed miserably last year, but under Woodson they got much more wins than loses, and he is starting the season now.

Felton is awful. He's barely an upgrade over Lin. He was one of the worst starting point guards in the league last year. He can't shoot, and he's put on too much weight to the point that it's effected his quickness. Wouldn't be surprised to see Kidd starting by default eventually.

Stoudemire and Carmelo are great offensively, but are also black holes. They'll get the ball and then hold it for far too long destroying any sort of offensive flow. One player in your starting lineup like that is OK, but 2 is not IMO. Especially when you don't have a decent starting point guard to dictate everything. They're also suspect defensively.

Camby is done. Smith is a great offensive weapon to be able to bring off the bench.

I just don't like their team at all.

I know what you mean, it could remind us of Carmelo's Denver Nuggets team, Amare and Carmelo could be cancerogenous at times, they should improve defensively etc.. it's all on they're mentality and wish to win.

I just wanted to remind people that last year D'antoni started the season, horrible record, with Woodson plenty of wins but it was too late because vs the Heat we all knew they didn't have any chance, none of the East teams had.

How about Clippers? they are probably in the same line than Knicks, but i except great things from them this year.

I like the Clippers better than the Knicks if only for the reason that they have Chris Paul running the show. He can get the most out of Griffin, who's really a very limited offensive player. If Odom is anything close to what he was before last year then they can be very dangerous. But, ultimately I think they're in that tier with Dallas and Denver. Spurs are probably in that group as well this year. Of all those teams, none of them would surprise me if they finished 3rd or finished 6th-7th. All good enough to cause problems for the Lakers/Thunder in individual games, but no way they can beat them in a series.

I liked what Felton did in his 1st season with the Knicks, he was on an All-star level, him and Amaré were clicking in their pick n roll game.

I think Felton's first stint with the Knicks is a bit of an outlier due to playing under Dantoni's system. He was coming off probably his best year in Charlotte though, so there could be more to it. He was downright terrible last year, but if he can get back in shape and get his jumper on track he could do better than I'm giving him credit for.

Agreed about that huge line from Lakers-Thunder to Mavs-Spurs-Clipps-Nuggs etc..

I'm thinking PG position is important but you definitely don't need a PG superstar to be a contender.

I have no sympathy for the Knicks. I hope they suck with all the attention they get. I still find them to be a mediocre team despite looking good on paper.

What do you feel about Lebron and Durant working out with each other (again)? Especially from KD standpoint I feel a bit weird about it. As a competitor you want to get better for yourself and better than your rival. It's kinda weird that sports rivals push each other to get to the next level by working out together despite their friendship. I can't think of Paul Pierce working out with Lebron tbh.

that's why I love Kobe Bryant, dude is a competitor.. I dont think he would even think about working with a guy who beat him in the Finals..

btw, The knicks have let me down 2 seasons in a row, 2 seasons I say that they have a great team, but they end up sucking, so I wont talk anything about them.

Also will anyone from here buy the nba2k13 so we can play like yall do in fifa
