I'm considering installing a new OS (Win 7 or Win 8) to replace Windows 8.1 on my computer(Honestly, I'm fed up with it).
Which one do you think is better?

Depends on your PC configuration, but I would go with Win 10

I personally didn't like win 8 as it was a big change for me after win 7(at that time they've removed taskbar). But with win 10 it looked as if they have taken good things from both win 7 and win 8 and combined it into new OS.

I've been working on PC with win 10 for the past 3.5 years and I never had any issues with it. I would never go back to win 7.

This. Windows 10 has constant updates that fuck up more things than they fix and I've encountered a lot of flaky hardware issues because of that. It also has too much useless annoying bloatware shit that you have to spend ages disabling/removing/turning off. Generally very uncomfortable OS that can be tweaked and fixed but why bother when Win 7 is pretty much good to go. Can't really be too specific about things because I don't know if you are casual or more of a power user and what you will be using the computer for and if you would even mind the Win 10's shortcomings.

Meh, always the latest and greatest. I like to update shit and try the newest things so Win 10 all the way for me. Been using it for years, actually never had a problem with it, unlike previous versions.

If it is a new computer with a decent processor and has an ssd, I would highly recommend installing win 10.

It’s really easy. If you already have windows 7, all you have to do is just upgrade to windows 10.

Also a little point to note. Windows 7 security updates is going away next year. So unless you're aiming to have your info stolen then go ahead with Win 7

If you have genuine win 8 all you need to do is upgrade it as Palacio suggested

Btw. are we allowed to paste links to other sites? If not I will delete the link

Just out of curiosity did you register on an inter forum to ask tech questions?

Not that there s anything wrong with that but i imagine there are better places out there to find answers to that.
