I've always thought that FI would benefit from a CMS + user-driven content.

The vBulletin's CMS system looks like this.

How's the financial situation with you guys? Is it an option? Pwease pwease pwease?

We have taken a look into it...It's kinda pricey and we're not sure what major benefits will it bring to us.

Having user-driven editorial content such as articles, opinion pieces, polls etc is good reading for first-time visitors. It would draw them into the forums naturally.

We are hosted by a company called SoccerGaming. In exchange for free hosting, they are allowed to advertise those banners in our site. Considering that hosting cost this forum about US$100 a month, we had no choice really.

And that was when the forum was around 1/3 of this current size!

If I catch your drift, that's something like a front page? The impediment to this is that unfortunately there isn't a stable, consistent supply of articles/opinion pieces. It would be dependent on 2-3 members maybe and doesn't look good on the long-run.

I know what you mean. I've always found it ironic that we can make thousands of posts, but we can't make one long quality post worthy of front page inclusion.
