Tried to make an impact, but his decision making was poor. Wished he had done better needs more time on the pitch in game situations to judge him fairly. Perhaps once the Scudetto is secured he'll get a lot more playing time.

Yeah, since the points record is dead Inzaghi has no excuses. Buchanan needs to be given one or two starts on the right once the Scudetto is clinched.

I checked that he has a total of 46 minutes playing time in Serie A. It's just not enough to decide whether he is good or not. Maybe Inzaghi does not like how he performs during trainings, who knows. But if we have a couple of games just for the fun and Buchanan is not in the starting line-up, then he might look for a new challenge.

It's fact that he didn't get many chances, but from what I've seen of him, he doesn't look like a staring material.
what do you not like about him?
I might be bias, but I think he is good, also I think he is what Inzaghi expected out of Correa and Cuadrado that can pull something out of thin air, in the last mins, or when the game is stalled, so far he did way better than the other 2 in terms of that aspect.

I think he's also been working hard on learning the ropes in regular play, I don't think Inzaghi dislikes him, just giving him time to learn.

The only problem for me is the right side needs proper reinforcements, like Carlos will play more LCB, so our RWB is still lacking next year as Darmian gets older and Dumfries might get sold etc.

I don't like how cheap he tries to win fouls, and his decision making. For example, he makes a good trick, and his next move is ineffective.
Maybe, he needs more time to gel with his teammates and to understand fully what Inzaghi wants.
Dumfries from another hand, despite being criticized in his first days, learned pretty quickly what to do. He was able to get himself in very good positions/plays, but because of his limited skills, he couldn't converted them.
Buchanan hits me like a type of a player, who tries to beat 1-2 opponents every time when he has an opportunity, without the clear idea what to follow next.
I could be totally wrong though.

I think that can be fixed easily, and I am confident in the coaches and that also depends on how his teammates follow up.

The thing is having a player that can potentially beat 1-2 opponents is rare.
Also I think I have to disagree on this part "tries to beat 1-2 opponents every time when he has an opportunity", from what I observed he seems to be only doing it when Simone gave him the go-ahead, so it depends on the match he gets subbed in, else I see he tries very hard to follow tactical play, unless it is almost the team trying to get him into a 1 on 1 situation with lots of space or no options other than dribble.

I want to see this guy from minute 0, and with us playing with counter attacks, with spaces he can be deadly up there with Thuram.
These remaining games are key for the Right Winger position for next season
