Has the older brother of the Hazards even done anything to deserve his spot in NT these couple of years or even this European Cup? I'm not impressed by him, the injury can be a blessing in disguise

Did you see Carrasco when he came on? Yeah Eden deserves to start

Lukaku was bullied by Pepe the whole game. He loses the ball too easily, no wonder Portugal had so many counterattacks.

Carrasco always plays well though, just because he didnt do well in a couple of mins today, doesn mean he is bad.

Apart from having his shirt pulled at one moment and that move with the pass to Carrasco in the final stages, he was rather poor, even for my (lower) standards.

Honestly people seem to exaggerate his effect just because he seems so big and the ball so small around him, but Portugal had no troubles at the back and it's no wonder the only shot on target they conceded was that wonder strike.

If he plays like this vs Italy, with no De Bruyne and Eden Hazard, there's not much Belgium can hope for.

Lukaku the entire match seemed like he was on the verge of doing something important and then bungled it every single time.

He did well to create the initial setups and opportunities, but the end result was almost always disappointing.

Yeah Lukaku simply do not have the technique to accomplish that role perfectly. But he still did well playing as the target, had no problem with Dias etc He's had bigger problems in Serie A playing as a target than in this match IMO.

But he is much better suited for a two striker system.
