Even though Carini is very good, Frey is just the best to replace Toldo. We can have both Frey as first choice keeper and Carini as backup IMO.

Very well said, I agree, but usually the 2nd keeper is a bit older, maybe Carini is too young to be a bench player...

If he accepts the role let him be backup for Frey. If he doesn´t either loan him out or sell him. :lala:

Anyone knows what the deal with Carini is? Is he still under contract with his former team or what?

We haven´t called him even as a backup for matches and now i heard (from Sportsera) that Fontana will probable replace Toldo for now. None (not even Mancini) has been happy with Toldo´s performances so far.

True indeed. We traded Cannavaro for this Carini guy, and if we plan to buy Frey, then that trade would become much worse then we thought to be, unless we would get good amount of $$ from Carini's sale (??).

I am still hoping to see Carini in Inter's jersey, give him chance, then lets see.

If you´re satisfied with Chimenti: Good for you. But we´ve made an investment in the future. You gambled...

we didn't gamble at all, we just off-loaded what we didn't need for something that we really needed, you call that gambling?!

Mancini feels that Carini will be used against Bolivia and that's why he'd choose Fontana as Toldo's replacement (If it's true.)

I am so eager to see Carini play for us, something tells me he's a good goalie and can give Toldo a challenge. Having two good goalies competing is really healthy and both goalies will be so alert and cautious, something Toldo hasn't been this season. That could create pressure on the goalie, but goalies are supposed to perform under great pressure.

Can anyone deny or confirm this?

I´m quite sure that he´s still under contract or something with his former team. I remember reading a story about this from Gazzetta (weeks ago) and they said something like "We can´t use Carini".

He doesn't have euro passaport. We can buy one player that haven't got euro passport in one year and it's Burdisso I guess this year.

So,why the hell didn't he stay at Belgium for the rest of this season ?He would got Belgian passaport then.
