$#$#@

24 f*cking Euros!?!?!? Is that a low or high-end price, Jimmy??? It only caused around 5 Euros to attend a football match in a stadium here. :p

My parents went to Italy regularly for business purposes and yes, I've heard nothing but negative comments about the Italians. I'm not sure if they are arrogant but they definitely treated the Asians in a different way. A bad way. They viewed us as an inferior race compared to them. It's not until you get to know them well that they'll treat you in a nice way.

But, this is not helped by the fact that Asians ruined their own reputation. My parents told me that the way most Asians dressed and behaved there was apalling. For example, when they were in a show-room, they saw some of them wearing shirts, suits, ties and...shorts. :wth: I mean, for God's sake!!! :p I can't blame the Italians if they think we're some insane race. Another example is when in a formal restaurant, this Chinese dude called for the attention from everyone...to show a magic trick. :rolleyes2:

So, our (Asians') image there is definitely not good and the actions by some of our own people doesn't help either.

I asked few people that went to to italy about their impresseion and they had mixed feelings, some found italians that were racists and some found italians that were nice. This is the norm in any society, you will find good people and you will find bad people.

From what i gather though, the norther you go to italy the nicer it is. Milan, turin and those indusrial/urban communtities are more culturally diverse and visitors find people there nicer. Anyway, nothing will stop me from going to Milan one day and visiting the Giussippe Meazza. :hopefull:

Yeah, Thanx for the replies guys..

I believe in every society there are the goods and the bads..

we just need to be more advanced people in order to honor the differences.. and promote respects to each other

I just can't understand how a city like Milan which produce Internazionale Milan, which is established to support the pluralism, can be racist...
( I know the city also has Ac Milan fans too , ha ha :D)

No, they are mostly africans and middle-easterns. But in general they had good things to say about Italy and how beautiful it is, you just have to avoid certain places.
