Wow! That was fast, thanks mate. How about writing it this way in chinese letters (not translating the actual meaning of the words):

For
Za
In
Ter

Or which way would be better?

Had Chinese been that easy, life wud had been fun for me, mate :D ;)

I guess you wrote

For
Za
In
Ter

coz I wrote :

Guo
Ji
Mi
Lan

:D

The Chinese Characters which I got for you, is the right one used in China.

I got no idea how to help you on Forza. :( (I am not sure on this one, after all it's for tattoo)

What do you think of : "I love intermilan" :

"我 爱 国际米兰"

我 (wo) - I
爱 (ai) - love
国际米兰 (guo ji mi lan) - intermilan

:)

But I suggest you to have just - "intermilan" - 国际米兰

unless, you really want to have a long one ...... I will get help for you

:)

Ok, thanks for the crash course in chinese. I guess Inter Milano (with "o" in the end, is impossible too) You know I just hate "Milan". ;)

Well, the literal translation of Forza to Chinese is 加油 (Jia You).

So to say Forza Inter!, the words should be:

国际米兰 加油﹗

Ciao,
Tim

But Tim, Jake wants the words that is pronounced "For" "Za" "In" "Ter" "Mi" "Lan", not the transalations, I think. :)

But it won't make any sense if you translate For Za In Ter into Chinese. However, if that's what Jake wants, then i'll translate for him. :)

Ciao,
Tim

Not transalate!!! :) Tim, I think you should apply the Katakana - Japanese - English theory here. :) I think it wouldn't matter to Jake what those Chinese words mean as long as it sounds "Forza Inter". :)

Btw, I'm not sure about this though. :D Jake should come and clarify himself again. :D

I can already see what will happen...

Some of you "translate" or something those words Jake wants, Jake get his tattoo and afterwards someone says those words are "translated" wrongly and it actually means Forza Milan. :D

Ok then, I'll clarify things. I admit that the real reason to get the tattoo is to get my arm amputated later on... :D

It's true that first I thought about how it sounds (like Han said or like that Katanaka-Japanese-English theory...), but like Tim said it doesn't make sense. I then settle for a four letter (symbol/tone) tattoo which was what Pravesh's suggested in the first place.

Btw Tommi, I've checked that it really is "Inter Milan", not that I ever doubted Pravesh's instructions, but I guess double-check is recommendable with tattoos.

Thanks for all your help mates, I'm still open for ideas until I get it done.

Well Jake, why are you getting it in Chinese instead of in Italian? Do the characters look cool? :D

Anyway, if you want other translations (into Japanese) for example, just ask me. :)

Anyway, good luck with the tattoos. I might consider getting one myself. ;)

Ciao,
Tim

Well duh wiseass. ;) What do you think, it would look just plain boring with our alphabet characters. Instead chinese looks good and when you mentioned it, you can always write the same thing in japanese. (I mean Inter Milan(o)).

That's what I meant.

And yeah jia you intermilan is like - go/c'mmon inter milan !!
it's cheering ...

But I would still opt for just "intermilan", rather than adding jia you ... :D

one can never exclude that, incase Jake wants to add some more words to that "intermilan"

Better discuss with a chinese guy/gal, if you are planning to add some more words to "intermilan". After all, it's tattoo :D

I am 100% sure that it is "InterMilan". But still, even I would recommend for a double check. Tattoos

:) ;)
