or in some cases, complete lack of style (catenaccio)

you want be able to impose your will onto matches instead of playing boring balanced 4-4-2 formations that counter attack

do it on the sigames board

there is literally a new thread everyday about improving the game, with actual programmers actually responding sometimes

little chance of it getting noticed here

i dont see why a topic called FM2009 has to focus on new ideas in the first place

I think we discuss it here because it's just some not-so-serious shit being thrown around across the board.

I'd like to be able to set players' position freely, kinda like in WE/PES series. I find it absolutely ridiculous that each players have their own dots assigned to a fixed position.

But who the fuck am I to say anything anyway, I haven't played this game since it split off to CM/FM.

thats why you have individual player mentality in the tactics screen

theres a very good thread on the official sigames board about controlling how far advanced up the park they go

give the new version a go

im thinking FM2009 comes out sometime in october when all the transfers are over

Didn't know there's a thread on te SiGames official site. So will probably have to close this thread coz it's a bit pointless.

I opened this thread so we can discuss about new game and new features...
One of the biggest improvments is ofcourse 3d match engine!!!

Just waiting for the demo. To be honest, every years release is not good enough for me.

Maybe I'm just too nostalgic, over the "old days", where it all seems that was just soo good.

I read that there won't be a demo? Or is Beta and demo different things?

The 3D thing is something I will never ever use. Think I'll buy the game, but it will be at 9 Desember. That day I'll go straight from my last exam downtown and buy it.

1. Beta and Demo are different things. Demo is a sample of a finished product(at least it should be), that is released for people to try it, and decide to buy the full version of a game. Beta is a testers version. It is usually a lot more than a demo, but the version is in most of the cases bugged, and can be unstable.

2. Demo should be out. I've been to SI forums couple of times, and there is nothing from officials, the demo won't be out. And as I remember, there was always a demo of the game prior to it's release. At least since like CM3.

3. I am actually looking forward to 3d thing. There were many people who have said the same like you FR, when 2d went out, and now I don't know anybody who is not looking at the game in 2d.

I like the 3d stuff. Also I just wish the game was a little more difficult.

Suneet instead of choosing inter try taking a team like cagliari and getting them in the UEFA cup that's actually much more difficult and exciting.....

I had one game last summer where i started off with Inter until 2013 and was considered the best coach to ever coach inter winning every single thing possible (The treble many times) but then got bored and started moving around and towards 2018 where almost all the players were new i chose a mid-table team and tried getting them into the champions league it was much more fun than playing with Inter...

3D has TCM written all over it.

The best scenario is to change clubs in the same save. Starting to clean out the squad to form your own team. In the game I'm now I've coached six teams and four NTs. I'm in 2019. Unfortunately, I don't get much time to play these days.

On FM2009 I'll probably play with my local team or something, to get to know the game. Then I'll start with Fiorentina or Inter.

There was once, probably still is, some sub-board on official sigames forums, that is for chalanges. What it is, is exactly what it says. Random user, can start a topic, put a chalange, and then people sign for it, try to finish the chalange, like I don't know... win 3 times CL in a row, or take Roma and win the treble, stuff like that.

Some include some points, so the users can add them, and see who was "the best" and all that, some are more open, and just fun stuff things. Ofcourse, no cheating is allowed. Noone can be sure, but most of those guys, are just doing this, for fun, not to be the best, and all that. What is the fun, of cheating, and than bragging about how you're the best, when you clearly know you didn't win fair and square?

Well, anyway... there was this one chalange. Heck of a chalange. The chalange, was to get a job in Serie C2 club, and win with it CL trophy, Serie A, and Coppa Italia. But to make things even more "fun", you couldn't pick one of the four of them(they were listed) who were pretty easy to pick up, had some money, some decent players, and some decent stadium. So basicly, the clubs that got left, were all with red budget, and all those "nice" things, with stadiums for like 3000, or 5000 people, not seated. Things like that.

Sounds easy ?

Maybe it does, untill you actually start this chalange. I remember, there was somewhere like 20, or 30 people signed for this chalange. Most got tired off it after like 2, 3 seasons. There were couple that actually did something in it. And by something I mean reaching Serie C1, or I even remember one reaching Serie B, but he was relegated season later.

Well... I was participating in this challange. My first chalange, and only one. It was with 2006 version, and too bad the Si Games forums were changed this year, because this topic is probably no longer there.

It took me 2 years to finish it off(ofcourse not 2 straight years), divided in 3 periods. After first one, I was so frustrated I left it be, for a year or so. Than I gave it another shot, got a little better, but still wasn't good enough. Then after 2 yars, I gave it a final shot, so that the chalange could be officialy marked as finished

Well... you could not believe me, but... there are those:

(Don't take it as something to brag about, I'm just posting it as I've remembered of it, and it was a good memory, one of a few with Championship Manager series
