What does this have to do with 2006? Literally none of the people involved in the club then are there now. Its like comparing a frying pan to an airplane.
Comparing this Inter to Mancini's from 2006/2007 is just wrong. Mancini had basically no competition that season, had the best team in Italy, but never distinguished himself/Inter in Europe.

Vibes and numbers are one thing, that counts only if you look at...well, numbers. If you followed Inter then & now you'd know that they have little in common.

But I don't blame Bluenine, there's quite nothing like quoting oneself. :D

We have a good squad and good manager. And we were finalists in last seasons CL. We should be confident but the tie is still very much in doubt thanks to our inability to finish our chances in the 1st leg.
But you forget that Thuram got injured and was subbed off at 45 min.

We need one goal from midfield. It's time to step up and help forwards.

Please don't believe the Juve propaganda. Inter had more competition in 2006-07 than Conte's Inter or Inzaghi's Inter. That Milan team won the UCL beating Bayern, Man Utd & Liverpool. Spalletti's Roma were pretty strong too. This season, there is no opposition as strong as those two.

I remember when Milan's penalty was reduced to 8 points, most Milan fans used to taunt that they will still easily finish 10+ points ahead of Inter. Instead Inter finished 36 points ahead of Milan. 36 points more than UCL champs.

Anyways, back to this season, our big advantage is that this time we have the experience of aCL final run last season. Hopefully that can help us today. But this tie is in balance

Thuram will make it up for his buddy Arnautovic.

De Vrij in the starting line up means we will be for sure trying to score in the first half. Good news

This is our best line up. I'm worried about how fresh are Barella and Mkhitaryan. Lautaro should be rested and hungry to play. I hope Pavard doesn't have one of those days, where he is unfocused.
