If it were someone else you would be bashing him for waving his arms
all the time; getting in the way of teammates or their passing lanes and for shooting whenever he has the ball outside the box.

He tries tio much because he feels he's a level below and wants to prove himself. That's a childish behavior and it won't hekp him nor Inter.

From all that, let's keep it to the fact that he's below in level to the rest of the team Nd it shows
What the fuck is this outburst? :D

Sorry but he didnt show he is reliable back up for Hakan, especially yesterday. During the first half time he looked like headless chicken, lost in time and space. He must be better than that.
What headless chicken? Show me his mistakes - lost possession, misplaced passes, bad defending, lost his man, misjudgment of the situation, etc.? We allowed one chance to Atlanta, and it was Pavard fault.
It's crazy how you are thrashing someone without any real reason, considering that we destroyed Atalanta, and did not allow them to breathe.
At the end, I'm the hater because I wanted Frattesi to get more minutes instead Mkhitaryan, in order to save the latter for the end of the season.

Ok, if you think that Asslani did well in the first half time, then you should shut the fuck up when you diss Mhkitaryan performances. Asslani looks like fucking amateur compared to Mkhiki on his worst day.

He has good set of skills and mentality but I'd like him to be more assertive when playing the regista role. Quite often I see him shying away from the ball when he needs to step up and receive. It's understandable to be little overwhelmed as a 22 year old in this Inter squad, but if he really wants to break through as a starter material at a big club like Inter, I think he should go out on loan to play regularly at a club where he could be more central figure in the squad.

No one is considering him the second Calhanoglu or anything. He did just fine against Atalanta, didn't leak which is the most important thing. Nothing great, but no fuckups.

Such a young player in that position is not an easy task, SPECIALLY in a team like Inter which is expected to win all the time. Positioning is super crucial and he's still learning where to be at all times.

I agree that he should be going on a loan next season as he'd be clearly the most inferior midfielder in our team when Zielinski arrives to replace Klaassen. But this next season stuff is far away in the future.

He could never develop like Mkhitaryan, but some of you paint him to look like Vecino or Gagliardini. We paid something like 15mln for him, and he can turn to a ok rotational player for us. Which I think is a good thing considering our financial situation.
I also criticized him for his positioning, and I said that I prefer him to play like mezzala, but particularly for this match, I won't trash him because Atalanta is strong opponent and he did nothing wrong.

Well, you paint Mhiki like crap, so why wouldnt we paint like that inferior player like Asslani. He offers nothing to our game, just liability

When I painted Mkhiky as a crap?
And if Asllani offers nothing, who exactly assisted to Lautaro vs Lecce?

He was alright. I just think we’ve been incredibly spoiled by Brozovic and then Hakan in that position, so when we see a guy who is just “ok”, it looks like a monumental downgrade.

The kid is fine as a back up. Agree with the sentiment that he needs a developmental loan, but that would create a hole in the squad.

Yea, I agree that was a good asists, but overall he is not good enough. We can only pray that Hakan will be available for Atletico.

Don't have one.
What we need to do next season is send him on loan or worse case scenario sell him and get someone older and more experienced. I know it's the sacrilege for most people to hear this, but it's the really delicate position, and we can't pray for hakan to stay fit throughout the whole season cos it's impossible. Imo it's the only position on the pitch where we need two experienced players.

He is not good enough to start vs Atletico, but he is good enough to face Lecce, Genoa, Salernitana etc. He is still developing, doesn't complain for playing time and has a low salary. We cannot afford to have Brozovic and his 6.mln salary as a back up unfortunately.

Who do you suggest? I don't know someone,.who is experienced and good enough, with low salary, no demands for starting spot and cheap.

If the goal is to have him play here then loan makes no sense this late into his development. No team in Italy plays football like ours or has midfielders at the same level as ours. Either he stays and starts against non-top sides next season with the insane amount of fixtures that await us, or we sell him.

Of course it's the typical Inter move to replace a promising young player with a more expensive player who is older (Bellanova -> Buchanan anyone?).

You are absolutely correct, that's the challenge. Getting someone like mkhi for that position is a wild shot. But I also think we have to do it if we want to raise our overall level next year. I would even spend the majority of the money we have this summer on that position.

Imagine something serious happens to calha next season and asllani has to step up in the majority of games. It's all fun thinking about his development and potential while he plays as a starter here and there and hakan injuries aren't that serious, but in any other case we would be in a big trouble imo. Not saying we wouldn't win games at all, but we saw last night how much compensation we have to make with barella constantly filling that spot.

That's why we wanted to sell him last summer, think even inzaghi was insisting on it, despite the words he said about him after summer mercato was closed. The point is we are reaching levels, or we already reached it, where to be even better we need to be even more ruthless with some of the decisions.

The guy is learning, is 21, low wages and Oth the right attitude when he gets involved, doesn't make any noise in the squad and shows great personality.
We were playing Atalanta who has a midfield of actually 6 players, 4 of them playing down the middle (Pasalic, Ederson, Koopmeiners, Miranchuk), they are strong and use individual marking. Even players like Brozovic used to have a bad game when individually followed I remember Allegri using Kulusevski to ruin his day many times.

Asllani has things to learn, that's right but come on. You can't expect the same things Calhanoglu does from him, not now. When he was 21 Calhanoglu wasn't playing regista and wasn't that good. Even Barella wasn't at that age. Give him some time.

I actually thought he did fine out there. Atalanta is not an easy team to play against what the hell did people want from him?

All good points. I just want a bit better positioning from him when we are going forward. After 2 seasons of being here, I do expect he'll get better at that.

Other than that, he is not doing badly at all.
