Good result for us. Atalanta's batteries are half way spent. To win this game next would be a statement( fuck our whole season has been until now)

Lets rest, get some players back and show this Bergamo nerazzurri we ain't playin' checkers. We are starving for glory and I don't mean the Cups and little medals. We want the Milano bus ride celebrations ASAP

Shameful performance by Atalanta, Milan played good, didn’t think that should’ve been a penalty, but ultimately, Milan wasn’t good (or lucky) enough to win. Hope we play against this version of Atalanta. Also Scamacca looked pretty bad. Glad hes not here.

Wah Atalanta looked pretty mediocre tonight, they were harmless, no pressing, zero construction.

I do wonder if it's Milan doing or just Atalanta level vs big teams.

I've written this a few times, but Atalanta's record against the top-half this season isn't good. After tonight, that's 2-3-6 in the league against top-10 opponents, and 0-2-3 away from Bergamo. (Feel free to add the Coppa win over Milan if you want.) Can't deny them their success recently, against mostly poor opponents and without European midweek games to divide their attention, but their schedule beginning today just got a whole lot more difficult. We were easily the better team in the reverse fixture in October in Bergamo, we should have high expectations for Wednesday.

EDIT - Atalanta's xG today was 1.07 and that includes the penalty (0.76). So they were 0.31 xG outside of that.

Well I told you, draw would be great, and it is. Stop overrating fucking Atalanta.

His mentality/fitness is by far his biggest problem. He has all the technical ability in the world but can't keep his head screwed on straight.
it’s bad when you can’t score in Atalanta system. Also Spalletti can’t get anything out of him for the national team. It’s a shame, he should be the starting striker for Italy with his attributes.

I wouldn't call that so soft. It was a reckless attempt by Giroud, even though the Atalanta player milked it a bit but still it was a foul.

To be honest, I hate how players fall on the ground so easily these days. Sometimes you could clearly see when a player got hit and simply decides to fall not that this hit breaks his balance. Yes, the referee has all the rights to rule a foul but it's really irritating.

But Giroud hit the guy on the ribcage inside the box. It's always penalty for me.

I'm only trolling when I say this, but... my biggest fear now is wrapping up the scudetto before matchday 33, because I'd love to win it 'away' to Milan. 2nd star motherfuckers in Milan's home turn in a derby would be hilarious.

If we were on equal points, I'd beat on Inter to win by about 4 or 5 points. This is completely doable, especially since Milan and Juve also have to play each other, so one will be out of the race by that time for sure.

Accidental and minimal contact kind of penalties, it would be better for football as a whole if they are not given. But it's funny seeing bbilan fans cry about it when they got similar decision in their favor just a few weeks ago

Thanks for that. I think Milan has the easier calendar but they have Europa League so they may lose some energy there.

Juve only plays in Italy but that schedule is stacked with big games.
