Bayern dropped from #2 favourite to #4 in CL odds. We're still #6.

Well, we still have to face Atleti over two legs, so that hasn't changed. Having the most balanced R16 tie does hurt our odds on that basis alone. If we get through this tie and then, I dunno, draw the winner of Dortmund-PSV, our odds will definitely go up (although PSV's having an unbelievable season, albeit against Dutch competition obviously).

Dembele taking corners with his right foot :yao2:

Bro thinks he's Perisic

It's not football and I'm obviously not an elite athlete, but I'm right-handed and learned how to swing a tennis racket left-handed, and I can honestly tell you that it's a more fun activity for me when I'm swinging lefty than righty. Like, one's your natural skill (or, in my case, "skill"), the other's something you had to put more concerted effort into learning how to properly do. I don't get to the local soccer* fields as much as I'd like to, but when I do I tend to like taking left footed practice shots more than right footed ones for the same reason. Call it "grass is greener" syndrome or whatever, I dunno, lefty shit is more fun to me.

*In this context, as an American, I unapologetically will say "soccer"; hold your pitchforks.

Which is ironic as they're the only superpower in history that's never been an empire

Maybe not officially, but with all the wars and proxy wars we stuff our noses into (not to mention the preponderance of American culture exported across the globe), it definitely isn't for lack of trying.

All that money invested in making weapons should be used somewhere you know.

Italy first in country coefficients atm. Top2 countries get extra spot in CL next season in this new system. Assumption is England will win or be 2nd anyway so it's a fight between Italy, Spain, Germany.

This week was pretty good for Italy.
Italy 2W 1D
Spain 1W 2L
Germany 2D 2L

It's crucial for Napoli and Inter to eliminate Barcelona and Atletico.

Its also crucial for Lazio to eliminate Bayern.

At the end of the day, I am all for three Italian teams to get through. And by the luck of the gods we get kissed on the dick and have these teams eliminated in the process Barca, Atletico, Bayern and even somehow Arsenal.

No chance that Napoli eliminates Barca. They are simply too bad. Barca is far from convincing as well, but they are little less shit than Napoli.

I'd say Lazio will get eliminated also. I wouldn't want them to get embarassed by a huge goal margin, but it's going to be difficult for them to survive in Allianz Arena.

Who shat in your cereal? Let's be a little optimistic, eh?

I do agree, but hopefully Serie A can fly the flag.

Between Lazio, Napoli, Barca and Bayern it really depends on who finds their form on the day - because all four clubs look perilous at the moment.
