How does it work Vito? I mean some of us here might not have so speedy connection and will be left out. Is there any limit ? I mean good quality needs good connection? I got currently 2-4MB/s . Anyway if its about Inter games for members , I have no problem providing the funds. Afterall my last donation had some problems and Han was without it so I shall transfer it again in next week wednesday or thursday. Just gotta wait for a week.
I guess you can test how good it works by going to Justin.TV and browsing through the videos. If you can watch those videos, then that means you should be able to watch my broadcast. I am still very new at this and I am not sure if this will even work, but if I cannot get this to work, I will refund any money that is used to get the channel up and running.
Vitoman, this sounds like a dream come true, but before that can you please give us more explanations?
1) What commentary will the channel be on?
2) What kind of quality can we expect?
3) What kind of minimum internet speed is required?
4) What's the maximum ideal number of member that can watch the channel simultaneously?
5) Just to be clear, US$75 is a one-time thing and not an annual fee, right?
6) If this is a go, can the FIF funds be transferred to you via PayPal?
1) I have a bunch of channels that show Inter matches:
RAI International - Italian commentary
Fox Soccer Channel - English commentary
GOLTV - English commentary
Fox Soccer Channel+ & Fox Soccer Channel+ HD - English commentary
Unfortunately they do not offer GOLTV or FSC in HD in my area yet.
2) Quality is something I am worried about right now, because I honestly don't know how good it will be. Right now I will only be running it from my laptop that does not have dedicated graphics, which may be a problem. Before next season, I will be investing in a new PC build that will have superior graphics. So if the quality is bad for the remainder of the season, think of the $75 as an investment for next season, where the quality will be as high as your connection allows.
3) If you can watch videos on Justin.TV, then the channel should work for you.
4) Not quite sure about that, but I have been on streams with over 200 people at a time and the quality has been quite good.
5) The $75 is a one-time fee that will cover the cost of the cable tuner that will plug into my laptop to provide the stream.
6) Yes, I have a PayPal account.
Once again, I may get this tuner, hook it up to my laptop and then find out that it does not even work or I am unable to get it working. If this is the case I will refund the money to whoever makes the donation.
Here is a list of upcoming matches that will be broadcast live in my area:
2/3/11: Bari vs. Inter (FSC)
2/6/11: Inter vs. Roma
Replays:
2/3/11: Bari vs. Inter (8pm EST)
2/3/11: Tottenham vs. Inter (11pm EST)
2/4/11: Bari vs. Inter (1pm EST)
2/7/11: Inter vs. Roma (5pm EST)
2/8/11: Inter vs. Roma (1pm EST)
2/9/11: Inter vs. Werder Bremen (9am EST) *HD*
PLEASE UNDERSTAND: Cable companies do not like it when people do this and may close channels on Justin.TV if they find them. I will do my best to keep the channel up, but cannot promise that there will be a stream for every single match. I will attempt to stream every match, but if they shut me down, there is nothing I can really do. Hopefully by having the password, it will keep the numbers low enough to keep the cable companies off my radar...
