APPIANO GENTILE - José Mourinho has named a 24-player squad for the 2009 Italian Super Cup at the National Stadium in Beijing (Saturday 8 August at 20:00). The Nerazzurri will leave for China later today in preparation for the match against Lazio.

Goalkeepers: Julio Cesar, Paolo Orlandoni, Francesco Toldo.

Defenders: Nicolas Burdisso, Ivan Ramiro Cordoba, Cristian Chivu, Lucio, Maicon, Marco Materazzi, Walter Samuel, Davide Santon, Javier Zanetti.

Holy fuck, only Rivas, Kerlon and Obinna are missing (and Obi + Destro). Goddamn Mourinho, you should have left at least Vieira and Burdisso out too. WTF are we doing with 6 CBs there???

Thats a sign that we cant offload these freakin players....I dont know what the heck is going on with burdisso,last week he had an offer from a big spanish club.Now he is staying with us,these useless agents are a big mess.

A 24 Squad isnt that big. I am guessing of that 24 players there is a chance Burdisso will be sold to make the squad 23, and wether Vieira leaves or not we will be getting another midfielder and MAYBE cassano...which will make our squad about 25 players. Not that big i suppose.

So these are 24 players called up. 18 can be used in the game, so let's see.

Julio Cesar and Toldo. The first team will most likely be like that(Jose last year played the most important players durign the previous season):

Julio - Maicon Samuel Cordoba/Chivu Zanetti - Muntari Cambiasso Motta - Stankovic - Eto'o Milito

So that's 11. Toldo makes it 12.

Now from Chivu/Cordoba we get another one, so that's 13. Lucio will be definetly there, so 14, Materazzi might come in the place of any of the other 4 if there will be some small injury. Santon makes it 15.

Mario, despite his typical attitude will be most likely in the match team, so 16.

Quaresma as he is above Mancini is the 17th guy, and Krhin the youngster is 18th.

So there you go, perfect 18 "unwanted players"-less.

Deadwood in the stands and can think "what the hell just happened" and hopefully they will finaly realise what is going on and they will get the fuck out.

Samuel most probably won't be part of the match squad, he hasn't played a single minute in this pre-season. Burdisso/Materazzi will be there. I'd love to see Krhin in the match squad but probably Vieira takes his place.

I'm really looking forward seeing Mancini cut off.
