Lazy...yes, for..what was that other thing you said?

chrissy, They wanted a grass pitch but there was not enoug sun so the other alternative was Synthetic material.

However they wanted to host World Cup games and also NFL players prefer natural grass.

So what they did is, they had a fully sized protected pitch outside the ground that has 110% sunlight. Before games using all the mechanics and gears, they electronically wheel it in.

Sure its bit of work, but its cheaper then a new stadium.

Thats how it works, looks much more impressive in real life and its been very successful.

I think schalke and dortmund have the sam thing with the grass and it sure would be a solution but i dont know how they want to do this in the sansiro ore if it s even possible

Helal, I think the Cardinals stadium is brand new... in fact this was the first season they used it.
They played in the Rose Bowl stadium before I think.

What do you think, how do they take the grass outside? Piece by piece? Nope...

The stadium has to built from the base in a way so that a huge part of the stands can be removed to take the pitch outside.

San Siro is 3rd biggest Stadium in europe, after Barcelona's stadium and Wembley (where english national team only plays).

And aswell, we're one of the 26 (or something) stadiums that have 5 stars given by FIFA.

I like the idea of new stadium tho, but Im thinking what will happen to the name? I mean, San Siro real name is Giuseppe Meazza, so if We will make a new one, will it be possible to name it again Giuseppe Meazza?

So I think, new stadium is good idea only if Milan will pay us some money for leaving it, San Siro stadium will officialy have name San Siro instead of Giuseppe Meazza and our Stadium will have name Giuseppe Meazza or something other connected with Inters history.

I'm not sure, but I think in a recent publishing of the Stadium Stars Guide, we only had 4 stars... I'll do some research ;)

Ah, no, you're right:

Lol!! San Siro should not pass the "test" for 5-stars!

- Individual seats with backrest: Not all, but at least-> (Venues that still have individual seats without proper backrests will still continue to be accepted. In the future, however, closer attention will be paid to this aspect, and which will influence the committee’s decision regarding the addition of venues to these list categories.)

- First-rate dressing-rooms for both teams and the referees (equal size and furnishings for both teams, spacious, bright and clean).

If what I saw at the San Siro is first-rate, then my house is very luxurious :D

Protective fences around the field of play are not acceptable. Venues which have such installations will not be included on the list.

Isn't there a huge net on each side behind the goals to prevent items from reaching the pitch?

Anyway :p

San Siro has a host of problems, but they can be solved without ever considering the need to MOVE away. 5 star or not, it is our home, and it has its legacy.

Wonder if I can
Just for your information, Strahov Stadium (in Prague) is the biggest one in Europe with capacity over 200 000 but today it is used by Sparta Prague as a training facility for their kids/juniors.

But back to San Siro, I am with Tim and I can't see our future outside of Giuseppe Meazza. Who cares if it has 4 or 5 stars???

Exactly, stars or no stars it is our home.

Yuko, the seats with backrests are where they are meant to be, I personally see no logic in installing 8000 good seats in the Curva Nord for example, because they will be on the pitch in no time.

And as for the giant nets, I prefer to see them as nets fro the balls not reaching the crowd, although if the Curva Nord was in the first tier that net would be sexy.

Life moves on ... and one has to move with the times.

Arsenal, Bayern all has had glorious times at old stadiums - but that has never stopped them to have a new stadium for themselves.

San Siro is our legacy - and whether or not we continue to play at San Siro or not, it will always occupy a permanent place in inter's history.

As for homes, dont u ever change homes? do u wanna tell me u and ur ancestors hv lived in the same home for centuries ... ???

Well there's the expression "There's no place like home". I think that tells a lot, but 40% I'm on your side 1919, I think a new stadium will bring us only benefits.

Someone in Serie A has to start building. If one club builds a great stadium other teams will follow. I hope that Lazio gets their project going, looks like a great stadium if these pictures are up to date.

I was just commenting on how FIFA can rate the San Siro as a 5 star stadium if it does not meet its demands :D

San Siro is the only place where Inter should play... Arsenal's history is not that good and Highbury was like a piece of $hit, at least for me. Bayern's stadium yeah, I can agree with that, but with Inter is different.

We should just agree to improve certain aspects of the stadium, and add the shops/restaurants that exist in new stadium complexes and then we are fine. If you've been to San Siro, you know why San Siro is the best stadium you've ever been to... (and I've been to a number of stadiums throughout Europe)
