CL always involves a bit of luck. We’re definitely among the top 3 most likely to win it, but only if we get passed Atletico. I think this one of the biggest tests we will have faced if we end up winning it.

If we get past Atleti only two teams would have the upper hand against us: Real and City.

Kovačić and Stones back ups for DeBruyne or Rodri.
So?

Having a bigger squad depth doesn't always means more quality.

Inter's starting eleven can easily knock out any team.

I'm convinced you don't evem watch these teams, but only writting based on their status of these days.
You watched city's game today and that's with KDB having an off game. I have the utmost confidence with Inzaghi and this team but we wouldn't knock them out easily.

There's no "easy" in KO football, unless the refs absolutely screw the other teams and there's already a wide margin in quality.

Let's be real, we shouldn't take for granted that we're in the QFs. I'm expecting another tough 120 minutes vs Atletico, not just 90.

Ffs that "easily" was just for the sake of context. Of course there is no easy games, no matter who you play against, but my point was that Inter's starting eleven is THAT good that can do damage to anyone.

City has been so inconsistent, same for Real Madrid too. We had matches that we won in the dying minutes, but generally we dominated out opponents by far, and we created a pattern that works against almost everyone.

And since City was brought into discussion; We even dominated them in the final. We created many chances and looked like a real organizated team, sadly we didn't had experience to burry them chances.

That's the past, but our team has matured a lot. So I mean, anyone who faces Inter should be very worried, and not other way around. It's too much pessimism in this forum, so I wanted to point out that Inter is far better than what people think here.

Based on home form only in La Liga this season they come first, 5 points ahead of Madrid. Sucks we only scored the one goal when it could have been much more but full trust (how can I not be?) in Inzaghi and the boys to pull through.

I don't know if that move to send many balls towards Arnautivic - Thuram - Augusto in the left side was intentionally. But it was great decision, which totally killed Genoa momentum. Those 3 guys won a lot of balls, and kept the possession enough to make nervous Genoa players and not allow them to press us hard at the end.

I thought it was a good decision at the end to go to long balls. Team was utterly exhausted.

Good wake up call. There have been so many Inter tactics analysis videos on YouTube. Sooner or later professional coaches will find a way to contain our threats. I'm not worried about Serie A too much purely because of the mathematical advantage. But in CL we need a plan B and plan C

All the coaches know, all of them have game plan to work against us. It’s down to
- quality of players at the moment of game, from both sides.
- can execute in whole match, with on going changing.

So many matches we’re not the dominant side, there’s a pattern than we get 2 or 3 dangerous plays from opponent then it flips, we get opening goal then kill the match.

This also shows how well drilled we are this season, the mentality is different, players believe in system.
