Our scudetto is a completely different story to Milan's one, but if you believe otherwise then I'm not gonna bother. But ever since Inzaghi failed to address the problem and remained stubborn, it was crystal clear that we're gonna bottle it (last season). In the second match of the last season we have been robbed tbh. There was an obvious foul on Giroud's challenge against Alexis, exactly where their second goal came from. So it was decisive and a direct impact on the outcome of the match, but of course our defence was pis poor that night, especially de Vrij.
This season we've been humiliated not because they are better, but because at least they are competent enough to realize the importance of the points. We were completely off in the derby and the way of goals we conceded was amateurish. Ever since Inzaghi wanted to try something else to fix things, we made obvious improvements.
We are still nowhere near our best, but I played football almost two decades to understand how does football works. Not everything which is shown in statistics and paper is always the true outcome of it. And btw, Conte was a key figure to our Scudetto triumph. These players were never used to win something but ever since Conte's appointment as a coach, the mentality of the team has improved and we were much more united. Dunno, I kinda miss that atmosphere in our club.
