Inb4 Kane, Grealish, Rice, Varane, Camavinga is moved. :D
All to Manchester, regardless of whether it's the red or blue side.

But the situation is the same for everyone, I keep being told 🙂

Either Man City, Man Utd or PSG, I don't see any clubs can spend big money in this window.
I just want to end this quickly, looking back at page 1 is kind of sad.

Could have sold him in the following year for same money but benefited an extra season or two

this deal is hard to understand, not sure how it even balances the books or if that matters in these times.

Inter director Beppe Marotta confirms Achraf Hakimi’s transfer to Paris Saint-Germain is ‘in the conclusive stages’ and will be done within ‘a day or so.’ 🥺

The deal is believed to be done for €70m, including various performance-related bonuses, under a year after his €45m move from Real Madrid.

“Piero Ausilio was working on it, we are in the conclusive stages. There are some formalities to be completed, but I think within a day or so we can conclude it,” Marotta told Sky Sport Italia.

“Obviously, this is a painful moment for us, but I am an administrator who must guarantee the economic sustainability of the club during a difficult time for the world of football in general.

“Once the Hakimi operation is concluded, it will allow us to have a bit of breathing room and we really hope that we will no longer need to sell any other big players, as we want to maintain most of the squad that won the Scudetto.”

The Morocco international had also been linked with Chelsea, who had proposed €60m plus Marcos Alonso, but PSG were always considered the favourites.

Among the potential replacements for Hakimi at Inter are Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin or Davide Zappacosta of Chelsea.

“We are a team, working with the coach and various collaborators. We must have patience to make the most of opportunities on the transfer market. I don’t expect the big clubs to make many large transfers.”

Marotta also confirmed Inter will look to their youth academy far more for the future and the days of stratospheric salary packages are gone in this ‘new era’ post-COVID.

Interesting if this sale happens on 1st of July and not tonight. I mean, can they really do that, shift a sale from July to June in the books?

The 2020-21 fiscal year was a complete disaster. Assuming we have no financial covenants in place, we might as well book the Hakimi sale in 2021-22. That will basically ensure we finish 2021-22 with a net profit, assuming Marotta does his job unloading our deadweight (thereby reducing our amortization bill).

FFP is also irrelevant for the COVID year, providing another reason to benefit 2021-22.

Jadon Sancho is off to United for 90m. That's a minimum price for a talented 21-22yo these days, and yet we fucked Hakimi off for 60 to 70m.

Fucking hell. Just, fucking hell.
No, he is English, the buyer is an English club in PL, has been chasing him for 2 years and Dortmund doesn’t need to sell. It’s completely different case.

Don't have one.
"It will allow us to breathe a little"...Wtf to even expect from the rest of mercato after a message like this. Praying those fuckers sell us to someone as soon as possible, coz this is the downward spiral to peak banter years.

I appreciate you talking sense, but I'm fucking pissed and I just don't care.

Based on our current record, we're not seeing a decent wingback for another fucking 8 years and we sold our only good one to a club who is run by a fucking country for 70m, while minnows like Brighton are getting 50m for Ben White.

PSG price should have been 80M + a player or 100 - 120M minumum. To me he is considered unsellable, check my posts about him a few pages back.

I will say though considering Icardi is worth 0 on the market, 70M for Hakimi and 70M paid for Icardi at the time is essentially 140M so glass half full maybe....

Of course he isn't. We need to make at least 80m from sales this summer but we failed to reach that sum with Hakimi sale. This basically means if we manage to raise 10-20m from selling deadwood then we can keep all the other starters and have a 0 net spend transfer market. Else we'll be forced to sell another starter.

I had warned people about this but at the time i was considered the doom and gloom guy. It looks like i was just realistic. We're in for a very long summer.
