I prefer the term persistent. A stubborn person is the one I usually respond to with these...persistent posts.

Good advice. Use it on yourself before you compare Javier Zanetti to James fucking Milner on an Inter forum of all places.

And we come full circle again.

The main point wasn't comparing Zanetti and Milner. Usually people tend to only really rate players like Ronaldinho and Hazard, because they are spectacular. Usually players like that get nominated for awards and mentioned amongst best players. What I was saying is that both Zanetti and Milner get less props than they deserve to. Amongst casual fans they fall into the unspectacular category, even tho I can't imagine the Liverpool team without Milner or our best Inter sides without Zanetti.

Yes, and you decided to compare James fucking Milner with Javier Zanetti in that respect.

Not Nagatomo, not Burdisso, not Palacio, not Pandev...but Javier Zanetti...

Let that sink in. It appears you cannot, you are too stubborn to accept that you made a brainfart and you insist on parading it instead of just nod along and say that it was a fuck up by your part.

If you want to say that Milner gets unnoticed, just say that. Zanetti was not unnoticed, he was not unspectacular and he was only severely underrated.
If you wanted to say that Milner is underrated, you could use another fucking example. He's not a world class player thay gets no love for fuck's sake, he's no team's flag and he's fucking James Milner. Compare him to players like Jamie Carragher all you want. Just admit you fucked up hard when you mentioned Javier Zanetti of all people.

And the rest of you, I don't give a shit if you think this is not complete disrespect to one of the greatest Interisti of recent times. It plainly is.

How often do you actually watch James Milner, I only ask because of your incredible EPL hatred and bias for anything English.

I have the unfortunate luck to have been watching on average 2-3 EPL games every week for several years now, mostly Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham involved. I wish I didn't though, but social activity requires it. Formerly it was also due to business. Thank fuck I'm out of that now.

I also watch it sometimes for comedy as the only other show at that time is Friends and I've already seen that 10+ times.

As for James Milner, I remember him when he was this alleged top talent at Leeds. If I'd compare him to a Serie A player it'd be Fabio Borini.

Zanetti: 'I'd leg press 500kg'

Inter legend Javier Zanetti reveals the key to his extraordinary longevity. “I used to leg press 500kg. I could do 310kg with one leg.”

Although he is now the club’s Vice-President, Zanetti spent almost 20 years in the team, playing on until a month off his 41st birthday.

“Strength has always been a fundamental aspect in my career,” he told Fox Sports Italia.

“When I arrived in Italy in 1995, I started doing a lot of strength work, both with the team and on my own time. A player with strong muscles is more likely to prevent injuries and performs better.

“I always played twice a week, even from Sunday to Tuesday, but despite that would never miss my Monday strength training. Although usually after 48 hours you do feel tired, it made me feel better for the next game.

“I would bench press and had specific tests to work out which weight to lift during different periods of the season.

“I leg pressed 500kg and with one leg I managed to lift 310kg. I would naturally also alternate those with work on ‘explosions’ of pace. For example, Jose Mourinho really liked to work with the ball, with high intensity training based on hitting the brakes and changing direction.

“I believe that in modern football you need more than just a fitness coach, as there ought to be specialised figures who work on different areas, for example strength. There has to be collaboration and a wider vision of the situation.

“I did take time to rest too. After a game, I’d spend time in the pool, then a day later work on strength and posture.”

:proud: GRANDE!

"On the renewal of Icardi? I would rather not go into the merits, I can only say that I would also have signed for free."

Our beloved Zanetti for the first time talking about Icardi drama, and pretty much taking the clubs position vs Icardi.
He also said Icardi needs to confront his teammates and resolve the situation.
AND he also said that no player is bigger then the club.

So here you have it. If Zanetti agrees and says the decision was very well studied, then idk what else we can add.

I would think that too.

I mean if I was deemed to be equally important as Vecino, Dalbert, Candreva, Gagliardini, I mean... It's time to leave.

Some players are just meant to deservingly get more recognition since the contribution is different.

Having said that, it's a matter of respect. Just because they are shit, you don't go around saying to the media they are, even if there's every ounce of truth in there.
