10 years of FIFI'd like to point out that J. Mario had one of his best, if not the best, games as an Inter player tonight. Some pretty neat moves, of course, still lacking in the final third, but he was quite invincible in the middle.
Very happy for Lautaro. Dude needs a consolation prize for not playing that much at all. Maybe this goal can keep him warm on the bench for the rest of the season.

he played quite well against chievo, too. he only needs to learn some basic finishing skills, and he can work on that (but it will take some serious dedicated training).

A very important win, especially after the lost opportunity against Chievo. We were the better team overall and deserved the three points, even though we failed to replicate the high pressure that had forced Napoli on the back foot for large chunks of the first half. This is something we should work on if we want to finally take the next step as a team: consistency of performance. Ideally, now our goal should be that of opening up a good gap on the 5th placed team, so that we can focus on the two cups during the second half of the season.

seriously speaking, that was an awesome, awesome safe by asamoah. yeah he almost didn't have to move but even just the posture of the body is important in order to avoid that the ball just goes sideways from your leg in.

10 years of FIFBTW also, top-notch refereeing by Mazzoleni. He was absolutely spot-on on basically every decision he made tonight, maybe Valero's yellow was a bit harsh but I'm guessing he booked the intent with which Borja dove in the tackle and not the outcome of the tackle itself as he played with the ball and barely clipped the opposing player.
Also, to my previous comment - Joao Mario won 10 duels, three more than any other player tonight.

10 years of FIFKeita basically ran in the defender, it was on purpose. I mean, you can't get a penalty if you just slip the ball past the defender and then casually crash in him. If this worked we'd be seeing ten penalties a game.
