I don't think so. Their attack is good enough with Benzema, Bale, Asensio, Vasquez, Vinicius Jr and also Isco.

Keylor Navas should leave asap. What a lack of respect to him. It's not like the guy is 38 or something, he is 31.

I was thinking to sign him at the next season to replace Handa if he cannot accept being benched this season, unfortunately he is already demanding to leave.

"Plenty good" when listing a declining Benzema and an unproven Vinicius Jr. seems a little strong, but, to write in short form what I wrote five paragraphs about on Reddit a few days ago, I don't think Madrid is going to arse themselves into making a super high-profile forward signing at this point because there's not a Ronaldo-type replacement forward available, and no amount of money is going to force that player into existence. Furthermore, Hazard is another left-sided attacker, and that's not an area Madrid is weak at right now. Where they are lacking is on the right side, unless they keep Bale pinned over there (his weaker side, mind you) and even then, Bale has trouble staying on the field and there's not much in the way of depth over there. Vazquez is an industrious player with strong work-rate but has very little creativity moving forward. Zidane loved his playstyle as an off-the-bench player but, no matter how Madridismo the guy might possess, I don't think terribly many Madrid fans would be happy seeing him playing regular starting XI minutes.

I am terribly confused by the transfer markets of many teams this window.

Real Madrid has very talented players in their team and despite that they haven't made any big purchase so far, their team is still good enough unless Modric leaves eventually, they would need a top quality player to replace him. Vinicius Jr is rather a long term purchase though.

Asensio is super talented player and he has already made difference last season, so he will probably get more responsible in the upcoming season and IMO he is good enough to be a starter in their team. They also have Isco who is able to play out wide as well as other positions. Players like Vasquez and Vinicius Jr are rather additional choices which gives them extra options to be more unpredictable.

The one who was declining was CR7 actually. He isn't the same player anymore but the hype is still the same because of his reputation. He cannot beat his man and is rather lazy. The biggest problem with Real Madrid would have been Modric's departure as he's their engine.

Benzema is quite annoying at times but he can still deliver I think, meanwhile Bale looks pretty sharp and think he will flourish in the upcoming season alongside Asensio, I guess they will take more responsibility from now on.

Jim White told this on twitter:

''On Diego Godin, his agent engaged in interesting tactics. Agent approached @ManUtd and said player was keen to join. United made an approach to @atletienglish but within hours, Godin signed new, improved deal worth 7.5million euros a year! Nice!''

Another rejection for Man Utd. I wouldn't like to be in the same room with Mourinho right now:

Everton reach loan agreement with Chelsea for Kurt Zouma

L’Équipe report that Everton have agreed a loan deal with Chelsea for French central defender Kurt Zouma.

The Toffees now face a race against the clock to ensure that all the formalities are completed.

Manchester United also made an approach, but Chelsea decided to turn them down because they did not want to reinforce a direct rival, nor did they want to sell Zouma, who signed a contract extension just last year.

Barcelona confirm sale of Yerry Mina to Everton for €30.25m

FC Barcelona have now officially confirmed their defender Yerry Mina has completed a move to the English Premier League, where he will play for Everton.

The club from the English Premier League will pay the Spanish La Liga club 30.25 million euros plus 1.5 million euros in variables to sign the Colombian professional footballer. Barcelona have also confirmed they have included a buy back option in the deal. Yerry Mina joined Barcelona from Palmeiras in January.

A statement on FC Barcelona’s official website read, “FC Barcelona and Everton FC have reached an agreement over the transfer of the player Yerry Mina. The English club will pay FC Barcelona 30.25 million euros plus 1.5 million euros in variables. The Club reserves the right to buy back the player.”

“FC Barcelona would like to publicly express their thanks to Yerry Mina for his commitment and dedication and wishes him all the best for the future.”

Everton also got Andre Gomes of Barcelona on a season-long loan.

Yeah it seems this Godin to Juve/Man Utd was just negotiation tactic by the agent. My guess is that the agent just fetched contract offers from these clubs so that he had some leverage in contract extension negotiations and Godin never had any intention to leave.

Bale has all the skill (not just potential) to adequately replace Ronaldo, without being a ball hogging cunt.

Yeah all the 12 minutes a season he plays.

It's very important that he scores in every final. Boss player, totally overshadowed by CR

January: FC Barcelona sign Yerry Mina for 11 million Euro.

Mina starts 4 La Liga games.

August: Barcelona sell Yerry Mina to Everton Football Club for 31 million Euro.

Which makes perfect sense. Atleti is a top-5 club in the world, genuine Champions League contender, play in Madrid and have a beautiful stadium. Godin is also a fan favorite. There's no reason to leave.

The most impressive thing is he was utter shit for Barcelona whenever he was used. Especially against Levante he was comical. This transfer happened only thanks to his world cup performances.
