10 years of FIFTransfer GuruFrom what I understand, the standoff that led to Mancini refusing his contract extension was that he wanted a top DM and a CB, while the management wanted to spend 75m on "sexy" buys like Mario and Gabigol.
Its not that Banega, Mario, Brozovic, etc are shit players, its just that the midfield has no balance. There is no one who can play the holding role at the moment apart from an erratic, mental Melo. Napoli are able to bypass our midfield at will. The way things are, even an useless DM like Melo will improve our game.
