This sucks. I actually kinda like him. He had flashes of great play, with stability and a normal coach I think he would've done well. Shame that he's gone =/

I really hope he does well at Roma.

Pretty good article, but I'd disagree with the part in which it says Juan and Ranocchia had no time to adapt to formation changes. Even if constantly changing managers doesn't help, Mazzarri stayed long enough for them to assimilate playing in a three-man defence, and all the others (save for Gasperini) played with a back four.

I disagree personally. I don't think that we ever gave them a good environment to grow and succeed.

Totally disagree with the part where it says they had not been given chances. Both players had plenty of chances esp Rano to hold on to the Inter shirt. Its especially insightful to see two players coming completely out of Serie A overtaking them on sheer performance alone. The only blatant truth is they were not good enough to hold on to the Inter shirt.

He only played in a back 4 a few times under Strama before Strama switched to a back 3. It was the transition from a back 3 to 4 that was the main issue.

Talking to Tele Radio Stereo, Roberto Calenda, Juan Jesus' agent, talks about the player's transfer to Roma: "He's been playing in Italy for 5 years, he arrived in an important club like Inter where many trainers have beeh changed and it's never easy. He has found his space, he has a physicality but despite to this he's one of the fastest players. We talk about an important purchase for Roma, if he's fine he can give much. The negotiation was not easy, Roma is searching for him since last winter, Inter said 'no', now he wants only Roma".

So we need a new CB now. If Murillo goes too, we have only like Miranda from our last year's CBs.

I have to say that does not sound good.
Andreolli is back! :proud:
Ranocchia is back!!! :yao2:

But let's hope we can get Garay/Bruma for the CB role.
With Erkin, Ansaldi, D'Ambrosio and Nagatomo there is no room for him at full back position and I really don't trust him in centre.

Good luck.
+1
#respect for JJ5 and his letter of goodbye!

im not convinced murillo will leave now. we got more money for santon and JJ than we were probably expecting, so that will go a long way
We got money for Santon?! Who payed for him?

Yes, that is true. But we have to sell someone to earn profits, which will enable us to buy some players we desperately need. The only players in our squad which can help us earn that profit are Murillo, Brozovic, Icardi, and Perisic. Which one would you sell?
sell Brozovic - not because he lacks talent, but mentality. +what raiden said.
Also he's a midfielder, he should slightly cost more than Murillo.

Will be good for Roma and a starter there over Rudiger.
Rudiger was about to be sold for big profit when his serious injury occured. So they needed a quickfix. Good transfer by Roma once again!

This so typical FIF. When he's playing for us he's one of the worst defenders in the world and when he's sold he'll become a beast

I like his tenacity and his ability to play both center and full back, which came in handy several times last season. But he always lacked positioning awareness and that's something which is hard to improve. He'll deliver performances at Roma similar to what he showed here.
Shark NAIELD it hahahaaah :D

The problem with Juan is that his character is better than his defending ability [positioning, anticipation]. Not starting material for a club with our ambitions, so better for all parties to sell him for profit. Thank you Jesus, good luck and FORZA INTER PER SEMPRE!

Bruma has already signed for Wolfsburg.

I only knew he was wanted by them.... damn.... Wolfsburg bought a great defender for that €11,5m!

Thanks for the update Il Drago. Let's hope we are keeping Murillo then!

@Cafe: we also have Medel who can play as CB, maybe we don't need as many CB backups since only 2 of them are playing.

Hated him as a CB, liked him as a LB. Good luck at Roma, just not against us.

I assume this means we're going to keep Andreolli?

Nice guy but not up to Inter standards. Had his chances and blew it.

If Miranda couldn't make Juan look good, I have a hard time believing Manolas will be able to.

“I did struggle a little with the fact it’s hard to play for Inter, especially at San Siro, but I learned from that experience. It’s difficult to play for Inter, as when things don’t go well, the people want to find someone to blame.

I think in general the team didn’t work and, it’s bad to say, that’s a bit of an Inter thing. Here I have new objectives, including personal targets, and am certainly happy. I am sure I’ll do well here.
