ACTUALLY
12 mil a year in England is pre-tax. In Italy, salaries are post-tax.
12 mil a year in England would be called 6 mil a year in Italy.
So it's actually 6m/year to 3.5m/year. Still a steep cut, but not as bad as you thought.
