10 years of FIFbecause, if at any point in the last few years we'd made a sensible transfer signing, we would actually be in a good position now, rather than the one we are in.
if, instead of Alvarez + Jonathan, we'd signed Lamela. Or we'd signed Thiago Silva (I know there are other reasons he didnt join us, but just go with it for a second), or if we'd signed Eriksen, or whatever the hell else... how different things would be.
Kovacic is probably one of the few really good signings - even Handanovic is expensive if you think about it (16-18m !!!)... Guarin is okay in so far as when we sell him it'll be for a profit, Nagatomo's been pretty decent but not mindblowing... and Palacio's been pretty good. But outside of that, what else do we have to show for our money?
