Inter have signed Romanian midfielder Cristian Daminuta from Politehnica Timisoara.

According to Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri have had scouts watching the 18-year-old over the past season as he has climbed the ranks and impressed with his sharp skills and tactical awareness.

The Romanian international has taken the Divisa A by storm ever since making his debut during the 2005/06 season. He was stunning against local rivals Dinamo Bucarest in his first game and Inter have wasted no time in capturing the starlet.

He arrives at San Siro on a four year deal and he is likely to join the youth team. Daminuta is a versatile midfielder and he can play anywhere in the middle of the park. He is strong and powerful in the air and no doubt he will get his chance to shine if he continues to impress at the Beneamata.

It seems as if Inter would like to continue in investing in youth and so far it has paid off for them with 17-year-old Mario Balotelli making huge strides this season.

A guy on a Norwegian forum posted about this player yesterday. This is pretty much what he said:

He is 18, midfielder and has signed for four years. The poster says he is excited about the transfer. Daminuta is a very talented player who has earlier been chased by other great clubs. He made his debut in the Romanian league at 16, coached by Hagi. Hagi has said that "Daminuta is one of the greatest midfield talents I have ever worked with". And he has worked with a lot of good players. The poster adds that the player is part of the future and that he'll probably be loaned out (not to sure about this myself).

A romainian guy I know is totally over the moon about this player... says Daminuta made his debut in romania's first league at the age of 15 (!!) and he has always been physically strong and could easily compete with the others. Also, Fiorentina & Lazio wanted to sign him, but he chose us over them...

Its great we are signing younger players. We can have more homegrown players and if they arent as talented, we dont lose a lot of money, coz the initial investment is as big as Han's pocket money.

Well the thing is, I've developed this unnecessary negativity when it comes to young talents because I'm just sick to my fucking stomach every time some popcorn fans cream in their pants because they see someone below 20 years old do some pony trick on YouTube or has 200 potential ratings in FM.

i don't want to spoil ur enthusiasm guys but he sucks.he didn't prove anything at Poli till now and he barely played for the 1st team...maybe twice.
i ain't confident at all,and i hope he didn't sign with us.we should find some talents in Argentina

I am growing cynical of our youth talent. This maybe presumptious, but until they prove to us that they can play well, we shouldn't pay too much attention.
