On loan. So not gone yet. Remember Ranocchia? Still have him after two loans.

so we are sparing, what, 1,2-1,3 million euros taxes included? if it's used to raise money for pastore ok. otherwise, pointless transfer at best for us.

gotta say, i'm surprised he's willing to move there... maybe he's not so sure of being called up for the world cup, i can't find another explanation

Yup especially since he is essentially a starter for us.

Why he would move? Maybe he comes on this thread and sees you guys write fkd up shit about him

Reason for our club to sell him?

None. Super low wages, lowest starter or even bench player wages and doesn’t he sell ton of jerseys in Japan?

Of all the players we have to sell he is one of the least that annoy me.

We're in bad shape and Yuto is not at fault for that. Having said that, I've been wanting him out for long, and I shall celebrate his departure, as he's the utmost symbol for a great club settling for well-intended mediocrity.

Getting rid of him won't solve any problems, but keeping him won't do that either. We have a number of fullbacks in our squad and it's clear Yuto doesn't rank high on the pecking order, so as far as squad options go, damage is minimal. Really hope he goes and stays gone.

He is probably one of the few who actually gives shit about our colours. Unfortunately no ne gives a shit about Nagatomo.

Call him a retard but the last game we won in the last 2 months because he stood up when some others chickened out.

At last, some deserved respect from Interisti for Nagatomo.

Look, Nagatomo certainly is not at Zanetti or Maicon class. He is just at above average tier fullback in Serie A, but he is someone who gives everything for our club for 7 years through thick and thin. Fans hate him because Nagatomo kept playing at post-treble era thus it is as if he represents our free fall from glory and years of mediocrity. However, whose fault is that ? It is not his fault if coaches kept playing him because the alternatives they had were Alvaro Pereira :palm:, Ansaldi :chan:, or Santon and Dalbert :serious:.

is it good for Inter to offload Nagatomo ? Logically yes, we should cash out an physical-depended player who is already at 31 years old WITH CONDITIONS i.e. :
1. Inter must find appropriate left back at summer and not another Ansaldi or Schelotto.
2. Senior leaders such as Handa and Icardi must pull themselves together even harder because they lost a dressing room presence. Imagine if the most of our teams play like Perisic and Brozovic, I think we will have much bigger shitshow than what we have now.

I wish him best of luck, eventually. He stood a true professional towards the club, a very humble and hard work player. Too bad he was never good enough quality, but his attitude towards the club was always exemplary. And above all, he seems to be a great teammate. I hope he will succeed where ever he goes though.

1mil for the 6 month loan, plus we save in his wages, which are not that high but still precious. We need every million right now.
So I’d say not bad. He wasnt playing much lately anyways. Better something then nothing.

He wasnt playing much but whenever he played this season he looked way better than Santon and Dalbert, who hasnt been given enough chances tbh. I wouldn’t sacrifice our most experienced, best performing LB for 1m, which I dont doubt we’ll have any use of it since we are only 2 days away from the end of the mercato.

This is so strange, every year I want Nagatomo to get out of this club especially when we had Telles, and he didnt. Now for the first time I feel he needs to stay because we have worse alternative, and he’s almost gone.

All I can hope is that we made this decision not because we are so desperate for few millions, but because Spalletti saw something in our 20m guy, Dalbert, in trainings.

But if Senpai leaves who's going to actually play lb for the rest of the season, Santon, Dalbert?

Well he wasn't even the second choice anyway, that is probably the biggest reason he is leaving. I guess Spalletti will stick to using D'Ambrosio as LB until the end of the season and keep Dalbert/Santon as backups.

Say what you will but Nagatomo was the ultimate professional and a nice teammate to have attitude wise. Everyone liked him, despite the cultural and language barriers, he survived one of the toughest environments in football. He made mistakes yes, but he also had good games especially when facing pacy wingers at Roma. I won't fault him that the owners ambitions were below fan expectations.

Is it weird that we Inter fans have been demanding Nagatomo to go for about a decade and when it look like it will happen we start to gave reservations?

Yeah I'm kinda sad, apparently the players loved him because he's a fun guy to be around. I honestly don't recall him being a problem in 2010/11 when we still had a good team.
