For what do we need him ? As yoga instructor ?

I’m not sure what do we need him for, but as far as I know, we need him for the LB position, unless you want a mistake prone player who gives away goals every game and a new player who has yet to adapt to the Italian league as our only LB options.

Are we renewing the contract of a 31 years old fullback who heavily depends on some physical attributes? If not, then sell now him for profit. I don't see any logic behind keeping him.

as of now, he's our best option on the left side. unless maybe spalletti decides to have cancelo on the other side and move to the left d'ambrosio, who has always struggled a bit on that side though.

dalbert is not ready, santon... we know what we are talking about.

but let's say, for the sake of argument, that Inter is willing to let him go, which in the great scheme (read: raise funds to get pastore) would make sense. well, let's never forget that a player can refuse the destination.

why would nagatomo leave Inter and Italy after some 10 years for a minor club in spain, having to adapt to a new Country, a new language and (to some extent) a new style of life?

if i were him, i wouldn't even consider real betis.

Exactly! We often take for granted that our players accept any destination and they end up staying because the team rejected the offer. People tend to forget Nagatomo rejected Man Utd when Van Gaal tried to sign him for free few years ago. Does anyone actually believe he would accept Real Betis? It's blatanly obvious Nagatomo doesn't want to leave Inter. He doesn't care about playing time. If it was possible he would like to retire at Inter and then focus on his yoga stuff. I can't really blame him. I blame those who renewed his contract again and again.

Just for record, Corriere report we want 5m for him.

From what I read, it is Nagatomo who is pushing for the transfer. He wants to play, and he knows that he is a bench player at Inter at best.

I would sell him for whatever small fee Betis are offering. Reduce the wage bill to accommodate new players. We don't need 3 mediocre left backs, 2 are more than enough.

We've spent the past half decade accumulating shitty players of Nagatomo's caliber and now sit here perplexed why we keep struggling.

We don't need Nagatomo.

Unfortunately, we can't make any profit from Santon's expiring contract and no one's stupid enough to pay what we've paid for Dalbert Einstein. Nagatomo is a good place to start making profit out of mediocre players. There must be plenty of LB back ups that we can sign on bosman to replace him.

My heart wants Naga to leave but my brain tells me otherwise... It's funny but he's actually the best LB in the team right now

What a useless transfer. We get nothing, except (hopefully) saving on his wages, which aren't that much anyway. We'll lose possibly our best-performing LB this year, and get no significant transfer fee in return.

Then again, Spalletti has started Santon, D'Ambrosio and Cancelo ahead of him in recent matches, so it might be for the best. It could also mean we're more willing to trust Dalbert.

But we have Lord Santon and supreme overlord Dilberto who came to melt our precious 35mil.
Maybe we should invest and buy golden benches for that ammounts, at least we would be attractive to quailty bench players from top clubs. Then Eder, candreka and co would fight over golden bench spot and others could get some time on the pitch.

1mil for the 6 month loan, plus we save in his wages, which are not that high but still precious. We need every million right now.
So I’d say not bad. He wasnt playing much lately anyways. Better something then nothing.

He is probably one of the few who actually gives shit about our colours. Unfortunately no ne gives a shit about Nagatomo.

Call him a retard but the last game we won in the last 2 months because he stood up when some others chickened out.

I refuse to believe that he's finally gone. Waiting for official statement by Inter.
