What I would like to see:

Sommer|Martinez

Pavard|Bisseck| Beukema|de Vrij| Bastoni|Augusto

Dumfries|Darmian Barella|Paz|Sučić Hakan|Ricci| Mkhitaryan|Zieliński| Dimarco|Zalewski

Lautaro|David| Thuram|Castro|Pio Esposito

Christ, give us that and we're winning the Scudetto before the end of March next year.

Dunno if it fits in the "realistic" thread area given that it sees us adding Paz, Ricci, David, and Castro in addition to Sucic's signing, but that would be a 12/10 summer.

Well I like to interpret the "realistic" bit of this thread to mean you cannot buy the likes of Mbappe & Yamal ;)

For a club of Inter's level, the above mercato or something like that should be realistic. Inter will earn an additional 50-100m this season due to the expanded UCL + CWC. Its high time to invest a little bit. Like 100m + sales (Frattesi, Asllani, primavera fodder, etc). It won't happen because our owners are vultures, but its theoretically in the realm of possibility

I'd swap Ricci with Rovella but then again Ricci is more realistic than Rovella.

I think it's realistic if we choose only one between Paz and Jonathan David. Only considering we can find a club who wants Taremi and sell Frattesi for big money.

We probably need a 12/10 summer because the last one was pretty much a 0/10.

I don't really agree about being it a 12/10, our RWB bench option should be better, also I think we are missing more fast players, especially in attack.

I also really doubt Mkhitaryan will be leaving this summer.

Still, if what Bluenine said actually happens, it would be a very good mercato. Just not 10/10. Or better yet, I would rather rate mercatos again after one season to see where we failed and where we succeeded.

Not sure Pio sitting on the bench for a season is good for his development. Rest I like.

In my opinion, there will be no such drastic changes in this transfer window, will come: Petar Sučić, Nico Paz, Nicola Zalewski, Santiago Castro and maybe some free agents in defense, for example, Davide Zappacosta.
The contracts of Acerbi, Darmian and Mkhitaryan are still in force and they have not small salaries, and will still play an important role in the team next year.
In addition, Yann Bisseck may already be promoted to the level of the main CB instead of Aсerbi.

yeah, we should be looking for some cheap, reliable options like younger versions of darmian and acerbi.

I hoped to see line ups with a new forward.

Any addition to the squad is useless unless we improve the attacking like. David is not the answer

I have been thinking from the other angle of what players I would rather not see as part of the squad next season. It's an idealistic list I know as there's always going to be deadwood you can't shift, but hey, we can dream!

Darmian and Acerbi (sad to see them go as they've been great, but the time is right)
Buchanan
Pavard (if we can get most of our money back on him)
Asslani
Frattesi
Correa and Arnautovich (these are a given)
Taremi

That would be too many changes for Inzaghi and this club on whole. Would work in Football Manager, won't work IRL probably.

We should only replace the ones that haven't shown enough this season - Frattesi, Taremi and Correa - and maybe Darmian and/or Acerbi, who are still good, but soon good won't be good enough.

Why only a few players? Because if something unpredictable happens, like a BAD, BAD injury to an important player or if we somehow sell Dimarco, Lautaro or Hakan, it's better for us to have most of the group still here, at least for one more season.

I absolutely agree, in reality, with the arrival of Petar Sučić, Nicola Zalewski and the return of Carboni, we only need a forward for next season, even if we sell Frattesi.

and a new CB for sure, that should've happened already in summer '24. Everything else depends on the availability of some players, like Paz, Castro or even Guler.

Whats the wages for Acerbi/Darmian? only makes sense to not keep them if we can assure we will have someone at same level for same price.

Would work in any Inter team previous to Limone.

I love Moratti but he was all about Football Manager lol

Casually the most over payed players are the 3 shitty strikers we have a subs: Correa, Taremi, Arna, oh fuck, these 3 make 16.5, more than Lautaro or Barella, that's crazy

Darmian and Acerbi are good and we are lucky to have them.

We are not getting more than 1-2 players with our budget unless we sell someone unless we win champions league which is highly doubtful. We beat Bayern and by some miracle beat Barca. The refs will find a way to get real to win again…. Like the random he kicked it twice bs in the last game

If we get a starting CB and David(free that rumor died a long time ago) maybe

Castro for a bunch of other prospects maybe….. fratessi isn’t going to agree to go there. And that would be a bad even swap.

Ricci or Paz coming here and not being a starter wouldn’t make sense since that would be a lot of our budget.

You are both correct and wrong. We only really need to spend substantial money that we'll get from CL on two players because we aren't looking at a lot of positions to fill up. We'll try to get a CB and an attacking player (could be a midfielder (Paz?), could be a forward).

After that it all depends on how many players leave. We have some loanees returning that could fill up the squad. If Frattesi leaves, they'll use that money to get his replacement; if David is really coming, it doesn't matter that much that Correa is leaving, etc.

We don't have to win Champions League, but we also don't need to spend big on three players because most of the squad is good enough and we are probably not selling any of those players.
