This thread deserves more attention. He’s been bossing in these pre-season friendlies. We should try him in the middle, or similarly try Pavard in the center. I don’t want him sitting on the bench if he’s ready to make a leap.

Pavard in the middle is a very bad idea. There's a reason his coaches always preferred playing him as rb instead of cb.

I really want him to try mid CB, but I know it is not going to happen.
If he doesn't even get to try it in pre-season, no way Simone will try that anytime soon this season.
The only hope I have is we will have so many matches that Bisseck will get to play a lot more this season, almost like Dimarco and Carlos sharing time.

21mln is nothing on today's market. Trash players like Igor and Ibanez were sold for respectively 16 and 30mln. Bisseck should be at least 40mln compare to them.

And dumfries is solid defensively? His only contribution is his physicality moving forward, something that Darmian doesn't have. You'd be surprised at how much Chiesa actually tracks back. If both are liability on the defense, I'd definitely take Chiesa over Dumfries any day.

Well dumfries got better defensively than he was and i would rate him higher in that regard than Dimarco. I dunno if Chiesa would fit as a wingback, also with lacking explosiveness after acl tear.

I’m getting more impressed with Bisseck by the day. Let’s hope he is okay with a backup role for the coming season. Neither him or Pavard is able to play this well as the most central cb imo. It’s just his bad luck that with Pavard we have one of the best rcb’s in the world in front of him.

I highly doubt it. But Bisseck is quite young, so it could be.

We should do it. Move Darmian to RCB back up full time. Sign Chiesa for RWB and just keep Carboni as an attacker.

Carboni is gone already. And if Chiesa is sus as a forward for us, so is Carboni, still (hoprfully not as much next summer).
