Cody basically a 100% WWE product, they good at promo but in-ring they could only reach that point at most. While Jericho on otherhand show how he is one of the living legend in Pro wrestling, he can switch from WWE styles to NJPW styles with no problem. Okada deserved to get a rest lil bit after his hardwork in past two years, next G1 they should find other winners so we wont get Okada vs Omega rematch too soon. Maybe they can explore that Golden Elite vs Bullet club story lil bit, or put Naito on the tittle picture for a while.

It has to be Naito winning the G1 and beating Omega at Wrestle Kingdom. It makes too much sense and sounds like something Gedo would book.

Because he doesn’t do the same 1/2 hr spot fester over and over.

I'm sure this is a dig at Omega or something, and a poor one at that.

No. He's just clearly not at the same level as a lot of the other top guys in NJPW. There's also a few guys in ROH who I think are better.

I don't dislike Cody, I just don't think he's as good as people hype him up to be. Although I do think if he was doing this character in WWE he would be huge right now, regardless they made a mistake in letting him go.

Not a dig at Omega. More a dig st the current state of the product in general, if anything.

How many hip replacement surgeries can man take!

Btw the potential greatest rivalry of all time in AJ vs Nakamura's has been turned into garbage by week, ringing each other's bells all the time

Sad to hear of Vader's passing. Probably the best big man wrestler ever.

Sad news. As much as I've never liked having to watch the bloke on TV, I'd rather see the bloke healthy and on TV than what's occurred. Hopefully he knocks the cancer on the head for good.

Was shocked to see that headline, for some reason it seems beyond belief that these big strong athletes can get sick the same as the rest of us but the reality is that they do. He's a tough guy and he's beat it before, I'm sure he'll do it again.

I haven't posted about wrestling for a while so (after a couple of tasty beverages) I thought I'd talk about this AEW rally they had today, and the major angle on the show.

Looks like this Jericho-Omega II storyline might be a Jericho "I'm the star" ego-based story. Puts the "Change the Universe" line from Jericho at the first rally in perspective, since Omega and the Golden Elite's line was "Change the World". Also fits the newly-crowned McMahon hierarchy of everything 'Universal' being greater than anything 'World' (since Jericho is a WWE fella).

As a result, the angle does not deserve the overly critical concerns about Kayfabe (after Jericho and Omega did a podcast, cruise, etc after their Wrestle Kingdom match). Also, those who listen to "Killing the Town" would've heard Don Callis tell the stories of Jericho being a nice bloke but turning into an animal once something pissed him off.

All in all, I like it because it makes sense. It should be a good year of wrestling stories. The rest of the year looks like NXT, NJPW and AEW are the ones to watch. Looking forward to the Okada-Jay White-Tanahashi and Ciampa-Gargano stories playing out throughout the year. Hopefully Omega does a deal with NJPW and does a run of good matches at the G1.
