world cup was not only about Pele and Maradona. It was the big Italy that always had a class team that rapes everyone with hes Style of play. It was the real Zamba from Brazil with Ronaldo Rivaldo and Ronaldinho.

Thaht WC isnt like it seems. Yesterday Brazil looses against himself. And, after 30 minutes the game was over. Thats what you call "entertraining"? So much errors, even at the Serie B i dont see such games sometimes :palm:

i know what you say. But , what is better: A small team like Costa Rica playing good or no great football and no Top Teams?

I haven't seen a Brazilian as bad as Fred since Stevie Wonder shaved his wife's pussy.

Picked from FIF guy in Facebook (can't remember the nickname, sorry!):

Since 1982, there has been an Inter player on at least 1 of the 2 teams playing in the final.

That's truly a funny fact. Let's get them:

1982: Bergomi GOLD
1986: Rummenigge
1990: Matthaus GOLD, Brehme GOLD, Klinsmann GOLD
1994: Berti
1998: Ronaldo, Djorkaeff GOLD
2002: Ronaldo GOLD
2006: Materazzi GOLD, Grosso (signed before WC) GOLD
2010: Sneijder
2014: Palacio, Alvarez, Campagnaro

Did I miss someone?

So Inter player's team have never gone more than a year without winning? Argentina win confirmed.

Brazil is the host team that more goals has received with 14, surpassing Switzerland of 1954 with 11 goals received. And is the second team with more goals received in a World Cup where Belgium in 1986 conceded 15.

IMO Vrij is the best CB in the world cup. I was very much impressed with him and I don't know who was the last CB who impressed me so much in few games. Just compared him with other CBs who had good world cup and it's fair to say he is up there at the top.

De Vrij was excellent this WC, should be in best 11 squad. I just can't figure out why he is heavily linked to Lazio :palm: ...

I've heard he's pretty shakey one on one in eredivisie, so back 3 was probably hiding his flaws.

I don't think we should judge players on World Cups *cough* Forlan *cough*

Not sure about his league form. I can go by only what I have seen.

Forlan was brilliant player before world cup too. Just that he was coming toward the end of his career and when you signed he was nothing but past it Forlan.

Better example would have been Diouf. Vlaar was also just decent for Villa, so back 3 was hiding his flaws too? What is this back 3, some sort of magical power?

FIF should decide already if Thiago Silva and D. Luiz had a monster game against Colombia or if they are shit after the last two games. +Dante, best Bayern CB in the last 5 years is suddenly one of the worst CBs the world ever saw

Not even Juan Jesus would save Brazil after they were so discouraged (so stop saying JJ would've been a better choice than Luiz or Dante), a lot of things went wrong, from referee decisions to their lucky charm Neymar getting an injury

the implosion didn't happen because the players aren't quality, the implosion happened because they were too nervous, they were psychologically not where they were one year ago when they played really good. I wonder what happened to Oscar, suddenly he doesn't have does great passes anymore

I don't think it was about individual quality nor psychological and nervousness. If anything, their moral was high and all of a sudden getting beaten by German 7-1 destroyed them.
You could see it in their interviews that they were sure they are going to win the worldcup.

I blame Sclorai's tactics for what happened. For instance, if you rewatch Brazil's last two games, you see in Germany game, Brazil was pushing high and they weren't tracking back even when they lost the ball. You could see even when Germany counter attack with 4-5 players, there are only 2-3 players in Brazil's defense and the rest are just standing high up waiting for the defense to get the ball and pass it to them. Also Luiz attacked a lot in that game and left a lot of gaps behind him. Basically Brazil was trying to implement "best way to defend is attack".
I think that Scolari was expecting a pressing Germany with high defense and tried to use the same tactic on them. He wanted to score first and then just sit back and defend. As it was seen repeatedly during this worldcup, whoever scored first most probably won the game. But to his surprise Germany decided to play counter attack and fuck them.

Netherlands game was a bit different. Although it is impossible to fix everything all of a sudden, it had some improvements. You could see players tracking back and Luiz hardly had any runs forward. But too late Scolari, too fucking late!

Brazil had no zonal marking. I don't know if you guys noticed this but a lot of times you see a Brazilian defender runs full speed and steals the ball from the opponent. How could they do that?! If the defender gets dribbled then the attacker would be wide open!! How could they just go after the player who has the ball and completely ignore the free player who is running on the flank or in the middle?!! (Which happened a lot in Germany game) It worked for them up until Germany game because they have quality players. Without quality defenders they would've been out in group stage probably.

There were other reasons too, such as not playing as a team, over reliance on Neymar, etc. but I doubt any of these reasons included psychological and nervousness. Maybe only the last game.
