I have read your reports about romanian players(Bogdan Stancu, Gabriel Torje, Marius Alexe) or players who play in Romania(Lacina Traore).

1. Lacina Traore
CFR Cluj owner said that big clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool, Fulham, Napoli, Udinese, Inter are after Traore. He also said that he refused a 12.000.000€ offer from Liverpool(yeah sure). Now, he accepted a 4.000.000€ from Kuban Krasnodar, newly promoted to Russian first division and with a romanian coach(Dan Petrescu).

2. Bogdan Stancu
He is now playing for Galatasaray. Galatasaray is big club but not top. Whay Galatasaray paid 6.000.000€ for him? Simple: their new coach is romanian(Gheorghe Hagi). Hagi also bought Emanuel Culio(from CFR Cluj) and Robinson Zapata(ex-Steaua's goalkeper). He sent Misimovic to Gata's B team.

All these 4 players aren't good enough for a top club. They can play in teams like Lecce, Parma, WBA, Hercules or some top teams from weaker leagues like Basel, Steaua, Dinamo, CFR Cluj, Panthinaikos etc.

In Romania you will never find a world class player in the next 15-20 years.
Look at Ciprian Deac from Schalke. In Romania he is 25 years old and he is still considered a youth player who can become better.

I would like to give you another name which you might find exciting..

Muhammed Demirci

Team: Besiktas U-16
Shirt Number: 10
Position: Attacking Midfielder (C)
Secondary: Midfielder (C), Forward (C)
Age: 15 (3 January 1995)

He is playing at Besiktas since he was only 9 years old and we have waited for him for 6 years so far.. He will probably join trainings and even main squad of Besiktas next year so he can improve his game with the help of Guti and others.. He has a medical issue which made him unable to grow up (very similar to Messi's) however, with some good treatment over years his height and physique is pretty normal now.

Inter, Chelsea, Barcelona, Manchester United, Villareal and PSV are among the teams who were interested with him very seriously, but there is no way he will be sold, as i said we are waiting for him to grow up for almost 6 years.. :)

Now i'm posting a video of him, when he was only 10 years old and playing with Besiktas U-13 team against a team with full of 13 years olders.. You will be amazed with his game reading ability and cleverness..

And yeah, he is 15 years old now and he is still just as good, carrying Besiktas U-15 team and Turkish National U-16 Team to trophies..

Big news about Muhammed Demirci! The 16 years old Besiktas youngster was selected for A2 team (Besiktas Reserves) leaving Besiktas u-16 team last week. He subbed in at 65th minute and showed a promising performance. I'm very optimistic about his future, he has the potential of being best Turkish player ever, and even some of best in the World. Here is a short video of him at the game i've talked about:

And the big new is, he is selected for Besiktas A Team squad (18 players) for the upcoming Turkish Cup Quarter Finals second game: Gaziantep B.B. - Besiktas. We won the first game 5-0 at home so there is big possibility that we can watch Muhammed playing in A team for the first time. (3rd March 2011 Thursday at 19:00 CET)

Scout him Vito! ;)

sime-vrsaljko

12/16/10 - Sime Vrsaljko

Team: Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia)
Shirt Number: 14
Nationality: Croatia
Position: Defender (R)
Secondary: Defensive Midfielder, Midfielder (R), Attacking Midfielder (R)
Age: 19
Height: 1.8 m / 5.91 ft
Weight: 75 kg / 165 lbs

Report: The 'New Darijo Srna' on Arsenal and Tottenham's Radar

At just 18 years of age, right-back Sime Vrsaljko is already a hot prospect, and his name has been jotted down in the scouting notebooks of Europe's major clubs.

His market value is rising with every match he play,s as he is young and extremely talented, and no doubt his eventual transfer fee will be a high one.

According to transfer rumours, the Dinamo Zagreb management rejected a €4 million offer from Olympique Marseille in August 2010. In addition, some club board members confirmed that Arsenal, Tottenham and Sampdoria are keen on signing the Croatian wonder-kid. According to the latest reports, Dinamo Zagreb want €6-7 million for the young talent.

So who exactly is this in-demand teenager?

Club career

Vrsaljko grew up playing in his native city of Zadar, but his home club NK Zadar couldn't keep him for much longer and he signed for Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb . Many people expected him to sign for Hajduk Split, which is a more of a "natural" move for good players from that part of Croatia. However, Vrsaljko followed in the footstops of Tottenham's Luka Modric, who also moved to Dinamo in his early years, and hasn't regretted his decision.

Vrsaljko played his first senior minutes in the Croatian league for NK Lokomotiva Zagreb, as a loaned player.

In the first part of season 2009/2010 he showed great potential and Dinamo Zagreb wanted him back. Ever since, he has been a regular first-team member and one of the most important players in the Dinamo squad.

International career

Vrsaljko played for all of Croatia's youth sides. He made his youth international debut on April 17, 2007, when he played for Croatia Under 15s in a friendly match against Slovenia.

He was also a member of the Croatian U19 team that reached the semi-final of the 2010 UEFA U19 European Championship in France.

Even though he can still play for the U19 team, Vrsaljko already made his debut for the Croatia U21 team in March 2010 against France.

There is no doubt that Vrsaljko is the future of the Croatian national team and he is sure to be a regular in the senior squad sooner rather than later

Technical skills

Sime has all the makings that decide the difference between average and top players.

• Vrsaljko has fantastic motor skills – He is athletic, agile and has the tremendous ability to change pace and direction while running with the ball. He is also fast and has great acceleration.

• He is a very smart player for his age – Although still just a teen, Vrsaljko is an intelligent player who understands the game very well, can anticipate moves and has excellent decision-making. He knows when to support the attack from his full-back position, when to stay at the back and has the nous to realise when his flank is going to come into play during a move.

• The Croatian also has good technical abilities – He posseses high quality dribbling skills and the excellent ability to go past players easily. He controls the ball superbly at his feet, even on the run, and his touch, shooting and passing abilities all show that he is a talented technician.

• Vrsaljko is an attack-minded full-back with excellent crossing ability – As an offensive oriented right-back who can also play as a right midfielder, Vrsaljko operates a huge amoung on the flank. He has top-class crossing ability, in terms of technique, power and accuracy, particularly for a player of his age.

• Vrsaljko has strong and very precise shooting ability - He has a fierece right foot that, combined with his ability to change direction, gives him the ability to cut into the middle and pose a threat at goal. As a result, opponents often don't know how to mark him as he can cut in and shoot, or burst down the line and send in a cross.

Mentality

Vrsaljko is quite a modest individual who up until now has not had any disciplinary issues or been involved with any confrontations with teammates, coaches or journalists.

He is a very intelligent, well-mannered and well-raised individual.

However, since a very young age, Vrsaljko has lacked consistency. One match he is good, and in the next he can be quite poor. He needs a bit of a stronger mentality in order to overcome that, but that is likely to come with age and playing experience.

Current situation

Vrsaljko has made 20 appearances for Dinamo Zagreb in all competitions this term, including in the UEFA Champions League qualifier against Sheriff Tiraspol and in the Europa League, which his side has just been dumped out of.

He has started every one of those 20 games, and has scored one goal and set up three so far this season.

In that case, I'd say the thread title is more than a bit misleading.

Well for you, everything is tough to understand it seems. I will change the name of the thread for the 2011 version so that Hadrian's vagina does not get to ensnarled in his panties...

I know what he meant. I just put my name in the title because I went out and found the articles, formatted them for here and then go out and find a youtube video of the player. Sorry it was so misleading...I can see the whole forum is in disarray from it lol

georginio-wijnaldum

02/11/10 - Georginio Wijnaldum

Team: Feyenoord Rotterdam (Netherlands)
Shirt Number: 25
Nationality: Netherlands
Position: Attacking Midfielder (C)
Secondary: Right Midfielder, Central Midfielder, Attacking Midfielder (R)
Age: 19
Height: 1.72 m / 5.64 ft
Weight: 69 kg / 151 lbs

Report: The New van der Vaart

Georginio Wijnaldum is without a doubt the most talented young player in the Eredivisie.

The 19-year-old is a natural number 10 and his style of play is similar to Real Madrid’s Rafael van der Vaart, attack minded and technically accomplished with both feet. Wijnaldum reads the game well and has a football intelligence that is much more developed than older players.

He may be just 19 but he has picked up a lot of experience as this is his fourth season in the senior squad at Feyenoord. Wijnaldum made his debut for the Rotterdam giants when he was 16-years-old and 148 days and in the last two seasons he has established himself as a consistent starter, contributing immensely to Feyenoord’s playing style.

Wijnaldum’s early life was not so easy. When he was a child his mother moved to Amsterdam and he stayed with his grandmother in Rotterdam who raised him. His childhood was not easy and therefore he became a very shy person and is relatively quiet.

With 65 Eredivisie games already behind him in the senior team of Feyenoord, Wijnaldum has established himself as a player with great speed and dribbling ability. He can play in the centre of the midfield and on the right side as well, he can also play as an offensive midfielder.

He has very good game vision and he currently plays as a kind of playmaker that comes from the right side. He can shoot with both feet, although his right is stronger. Another factor that stands out is his mature level headed mentality shown under all the adulation. "From the last matches I’m relatively positive and there’s some progress in my play. I’ve played in different positions but my favourite is number 10," said Wijnaldum.

The 5.6ft midfielder appears to have a smart outlook on life: "Of course I want to continue improving myself, becoming better but it’s important to have a clear head and to have pleasure playing football. I don’t force things and don’t put pressure on myself. When the trainer decides to play another system then I have to accept that as that’s also part of the learning process."

Off the field the Feyenoord supporters and his colleagues are all enthusiastic about him simply because he’s a good guy. Wijnaldum: "I’m always quite relaxed but like every young boy I like to joke and have fun but I never go in the forefront as I prefer to stay in the background."

His good performances haven’t gone unnoticed by Europe’s top clubs and Liverpool, Chelsea, Everton and Real Madrid have been following the young midfielder. But, the soft spoken polite talent isn’t planning to leave in the immediate future.

Wijnaldum: "Of course it’s nice to hear that there’s interest but if I look at my future, firstly I want to be important for Feyenoord. If you want to be fully prepared for the top foreign leagues then I believe you have to have learned everything in the Eredivisie. So it requires a few more years and Dirk Kuyt is a perfect example of that when he left Feyenoord. He left the club when he had the experience and he was the best player. I’m just a beginner and have only been in the starting line up for 6 months and there’s still so much to learn."
Nice talent find. this aged well. He can still be immense for us.

Don't wanna open a U20 World Cup thread that no one will use. But anyone watching it?

If so, any opinions on Argentinean how Cristian Ferreira is doing? He's been quite good for River every time he was used, feels like a real gem but curious to see if he stands out here. Lots of promising players coming from this new River Plate crop. Santiago Sosa is another one.
