When would you want to play the youngsters? Vs torino at 0-0? Or after the 89th minute when Broz scored?

How about Cremonese? After the 76th minute when it finally went 3-1?

Lecce? In the 95th minute when we took the lead?

We discussed this recently, there were like 4 games last season wher we led comfortably enough to risk young players.

A friend just asked me about Carboni, i thought he meant about the youngster that we lost to Chelsea... He was like "no no, Carboni, scores 25+ goals and 20+ assists on football manager"

So yeah, Carboni ftw!!!

If there is one thing you can be sure of with Inter it is the fact that none of our young players will get a look in.

Wish and hope for it as much as you like but it won't happen other than junk minutes at the end of a game. If Asllani can't get on the pitch there is no way Carboni will.

And Correa is a complete waste of space. The hate is deserved.

Football Italia: Valentin Carboni needs to be mentioned in despatches. This young Argentine attacking midfielder needs to be watched out for. Son of Ezequiel Carboni, formally of Catania, he now plays for Italy’s U21 and is a natural talent. He scored a goal against Salzburg and showed he could break into the first team in the coming years.

Former Catania Chief Scout Mario Marino: “Valentin Carboni Rejected Liverpool & Juventus To Join Inter”
Valentin-Carboni.jpg

Carboni joined Inter from Catania in 2020 after moving to Italy from Argentine club Lanus, alongside brother Franco, and made his debut for the Nerazzurri in their 2-1 defeat to Roma in Serie A in October, and featured as a substitute in the Champions League against Bayern Munich.

In an interview with Goal.com, Marino revealed that Carboni had received a proposal from Juventus, but that his family wanted the two brothers to move to Inter, and that Premier League club Liverpool had been long-term admirers of Valentin.

“Liverpool were already following Valentin when he was in Argentina and they tried to sign him. They offered a lot of money to get him,” Marino claimed.

“The family also rejected Juventus, who wanted both Valentin and Franco, and instead accepted Inter’s offer.

“There were many offers and we wanted to sell them as a pair. The presence of many Argentines at Inter influenced the decision, which was a choice made by the whole family.”

It is sad for the player that he selected Inter over Liverpool and Juventus because he will only get to play in junk time. Giving a young player three minutes at the end of a game does not really help their development and progress as a footballer.

If only Inzaghi would use him and/or Asllani instead of Gags (who is leaving) we could see if these guys are Inter material or not.

Do you think he would play considerably more at those clubs?

Let's see how it will be in the second half of the season, but for me, it's unexcusable if Gagliardini gets any minutes ahead of Asllani or Carboni.

At this age? Maybe not. But if he is a real talent, he would play a lot more at Juventus and Liverpool for sure.

Just look at Carvalho, Elliot, Miretti and Fagioli for example.

But who know, when we sold (or let them leave for free) all our key players in two years and we have a coach who doesn’t have a fetisj for old players, he will get some minutes!
