That fucker Harit is having a great game again. Carboni will have a hard time benching him.

Btw Carboni is on the bench. Let's see if he plays tonight.

Looks like he was subbed in for the last 15 minutes.

Yeah. He made 1-2 good key passes but nothing fancy. Hopefully he gets more playing time in following matches.

He didn't seem to have much of an impact when he came on, with Reims already in low block mode.
However, judging by De Zerbi's 4-2-3-1 formation, I think Carboni will get his chance eventually.

His movements reminds me of Messi more than Di Maria, just not as evasive as Messi in tight position, but the passings and movements, and where he showed up and the way he makes plays. (I am not talking about the level of domination, but the play style)

Bare in mind these are all just in the French league.
Might look different in Serie A.

Not sure why people said he has no impact, he created some real threats, very different style compare to Greenwood, if that is what people expect as having impact, then Buchanan would be an impactful player for you.

There are confusions between teammates, but look nothing like a 19 years old, obviously a generational talent.

Let's wait for him to actually play some proper minutes before we start the praise

I actually wrote this based on the last 2 games he subbed in for OM. I also made a disclaimer
*** Bare in mind these are all just in the French league. ***

The 35 M option, should tell you something.

Also if you can't see the talent in Carboni, what young players do you see can become something before they become something?
Don't refer to e.g. Rodrygo.

I mean before they are something, not when they are already top flight player.

Does Valentin have a better talent like Yamal, Endrick, Rodrygo, Vinicius jr, Musiala, Pedri, Gavi, Palmer, and Foden or slightly raw like Guler etc?

See it is a funny thing, Endrick was way worse in Copa and even before he scored that goal recently at Madrid.
Rodrygo would not be played if he was with Inter at the age of Carboni.
Benzema had a hard time with Vinicius jr on Vinicius jr's first year.

As of the current day, he is definitely going to be more Arda Güler than Yamal in terms of how established.

The way I see it is they all belong to the top flight talent pool to start off with, but how they get developed and who the play around with will dictate the outcome more.

Carboni is finally coming in at 70th minute for Marseille. They're struggling a lot against Strasbourg and they're trailing 1-0. Let's see what he can do.

Again called up tot the NT duty. Maybe he can get some minutes against the likes of Venezuela. Pretty limited minutes in Marseille so far.

Speaking of which, his loan at Marseille isn't going well. He's obviously low in De Zerbi's pecking order and it doesn't help Marseille don't play in Europe. If situation doesn't improve i fear we may have to find another club for him in January.

At this point and at this rate, he would’ve seen more playing time at Inter...

This whole situation feels like an epic fail on all sides. We loaned him out without fully being aware of what his situation and role would be at the new club, he agreed to go with no guarantees, and Marseille pushed hard to get him, attaching a ridiculously high buyout clause that just doesn’t make any sense for anyone.

At some point though theseguys need to seize their place. We can't keep putting people into smaller clubs that can guarantee their space football is a competitive sport and they need to competew

Yeah I agree. It wasn't like Carboni set the league on fire at Monza or anything, he wasn't a default starter there either. What he needs to do now is work hard, stay fit (he came back injured from last NT break) and fight for his minutes. Maybe it's not gonna work and we need to find another solution but that can be reviewed in January. It's still early season.

No euro games clearly hurts his chances and I don't know why Marseille wanted him badly and then ended up signing like 3 other offensive players after him.

yeah, i will admit it is all a little weird, but maybe Carboni looks good on paper but day-to-day in training just isnt up to it (yet)? as cafe says, there's another shot in Jan if needed. But for now, work hard, and show you deserve a spot.

He is 19 and he was injured when he joined Marseille, did people really expect him to break into the starting lineup 1½ months into the season?

Marseille also has a huge squad this season, there is a lot of competition. That combined with him being injured when he joined + his age and inexperience obviously means he will be slowly integrated into the team.
