Inter's transfer strategy with Carboni is driving me nuts. We've got a kid worth at least €35 million, but we're thinking about loaning him out because he's not "ready" yet? Meanwhile, we're looking at some no-name player who had one decent season, like not-so-Gudmundson or whatever his name is.
Our starting lineup is pretty solid. What we really need are quality subs. Next season is gonna be packed with games. There will be at least ten matches where we'll need someone like Carboni, and not Klassen or Arna to step up. We need subs who can come in and actually make a difference, not just warm the bench or underperform every time they get a chance.
Look at Frattesi. Why can't we treat Carboni the same way? Even though, in most Serie A teams Frattesi is a starter, we're treating him the way we are, and he isn't losing any progress or quality.
Give him the chances he needs to grow and show what he's made of. Loaning or selling him right now just doesn't make sense. We need that depth, and Carboni can provide it. Keeping him in the squad means we have better options off the bench when the going gets tough.
