I thought the 5th round might have been enough for a draw. A fight going 3-2 is quite close and volk did way more damage to Islam.
As I said though Islam did enough to get the win but far from convincing.

Dan hooker has accused Islam of getting a IV drip after weigh in lol so some more drama at least to look out for

how is the 5th round enough for a draw?

even in round 4 they had same amount of head significant strikes and Islam had a take down with control of 3:25 minutes.

Like what hahaha, it wasnt; close homies, take out leg kicks and this was one sided as fuck

Because the 5th was the only round of real significant dominance and volk scored a knockdown and was close to finishing him. Islam had the takedown 4th round but he did absolutely nothing. It was clear to everyone he was just resting. He did just enough to not get stood up.

But you keep saying it's not close. A 3-2 decision is close! And I'm saying I think Islam won the fight, but it was still close. He just did not impress at all. Even khabib said his performance wasn't good.

Leg kicks do count ofcourse. We've seen them be vital in many fights. Mcgregor poirier, suga show chito, gaethje fights, mcgregor Diaz, most whitaker fights, rda Diaz. The list goes on. They can be difference makers, or else people wouldn't use them. So ofcourse they count.

when did leg kicks swing the scorecards the other way, please one case.

also it was 4-1. This is not boxing, if you are getting controlled on the ground for more than 60% of the round, you can't win that round unless u outland significantly or a knock down, whichc he did neither.

Leg kicks have ended fights.

And no, the majority of the judges scored it 3-2.

This is the round 4 ground control from Islam. Its officially went down that Islam didn't attempt one submission. Its clear he's resting and recovering here, should have been stood up IMO. I'm also not argueing about this round, yes Islam won this round.

I don't have a horse in this race either. Was just expecting more from Islam and as I've said he did enough to win but he was hanging on at the end. Not sure if he really missed khabib but let's see how his next fight goes.

please re watch the fourth round.

He won that round EASY. punches from your back backwards are nothing. And again, I agree leg kicks are effective just no one scores them.

this sums it up really good. No idea what fans are thinking. They expect him to win by sub or 10-8 every round. Since that didnt pan out volk was "robbed".

Haha, I think we're agreeing and arguing at the same time.

I said he won the 4th, just IMO it should have been stood up because he wasn't doing enough.

And no Islam won, volk wasn't robbed IMO. And usually the champ gets the edge on decisions anyway, challenger has to make it convincing

agreed hahaha, I just thought u were one of the draw or robbed crowd as you replied to my initial post so I got a bit hot.

I think people are getting carried away by how much closer than we thought it was.. but yeah for me it was 49-46 :D

Excited? I'm just curious to see how far my compatriot Shavkat Rakhmonov can go up the rankings and will he be able to continue his perfect record. Other than that, I am not a fan of mma or boxing.

I have nothing but love for Jones and he is undoubtedly the GOAT. However I really like Gane, a lot. I think he has what it takes to be a successful champ. Going to be one hell of a fight. 3 years of Jones being heavyweight we finally get to see him in action.

Tbh, I'm still under the impression after Volk's performance. I mean, that guy is a monster, for sure! Btw, guys, are you excited about UFC 285? I bet Bones will win that fight. I mean, he's the GOAT. That's why he will win. Btw, I've recently read mma equipment reviews. My son wants gear like Jon Jones has. He's even asked me to buy a T-shirt at the official UFC store. He's a great fan of him. Btw, folks, do you watch UFC/boxing together with your kids? I've never seen someone more excited about Jones' fight than my son, you know.

Does anybody here watch Mixed Martial Arts or train? I train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and I am a apk GTA 5 Mobile and have learned some real good Muay Thai skills. The big MMA(mixed martial arts organizations) are PRIDE FC and UFC. K-1 is the Kickboxing organization and it is Huge in Asia. Somebody please post on this thread lmao I really enjoy training and watching these fights and I hope somebody else on this board does. Or if somebody is interested in getting into watching it I can be of assistance to getting you started.
MMA is a full-contact combat sport that incorporates techniques from various martial arts and combat sports, such as boxing, kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, wrestling, and judo. PRIDE FC and UFC are two of the largest and most well-known MMA organizations, and they host events featuring top-ranked fighters from around the world. K-1 is a kickboxing organization that originated in Japan and has since expanded to other countries, with a focus on stand-up striking techniques. That's why I like watching MMA because of that
