Bodø/Glimt now managed a draw vs Roma away.
You mean Roma managed a draw against Bodø/Glimt, they were thrashed last time

Yeah. Rennes were unhappy. They had even made an announcement yesterday that unless UEFA postponed the game they still intended to play.I meant to post this earlier, Spurs game off due to Covid. Rennes apparently unhappy at Conte saying it was off in presser as they were not told. 2nd game Spurs have got a game called off, last one was Fulham on the same day of match.
The rules are being bent as they still hit the requirements to make this game (14 players and a GK)
I didnt even think about that same format as cl to europa then? SavageWhat's even more weird is that the best of the "losers in the Europa League" drop down and continue to play in the Conference League![]()
Me neither, was reading an article in the Guardian and they broke down the Europa League match ramifications! It appeared on the surface to be similar. It's all about $$$.I didnt even think about that same format as cl to europa then? Savage
Oh for sure totally agree there is no concern for players even during a pandemic they just want that paper money.Me neither, was reading an article in the Guardian and they broke down the Europa League match ramifications! It appeared on the surface to be similar. It's all about $$$.
Absolutely, and they still have the temerity to push for a WC every two years.Oh for sure totally agree there is no concern for players even during a pandemic they just want that paper money.
Me neither. Yesterday I had to check twice as why we have two UEFA Champions League threads in here, then I noticed one is actually Conference not Champions. The competition was so nonexistent to me that I didn't even think a thread for it exists.Brendan Rodgers, Leicester manager after they drop into the Conference League...
"I have to be honest - I don't even know what the competition is in all fairness. I was focused on the Europa League and winning this group. At the very least, finishing second so with all due respect to the competition, I'm not sure what it is. I'm sure I'll find out soon enough."
Hahahaha he aint alone, no one does.
It's a bad thing if you are Leicester or Marseille.Good for all other "smaller" clubs, they want to play in Europe as many games as possible. What's even more weird is that the best of the "losers in the Europa League" drop down and continue to play in the Conference League![]()
Yep,some just don't want to understand that you are not only playing for money in EL/Conference league but, even more importantly, for coefficient. You need to go as far as possible. It's a fun tournament for smaller leagues but an inconvenience for top league sides.
But once you're in, you gotta play to win.
Roma needs to win this and even if they try hard it won't be easy with Marseille, Fenerbahçe, PSV, Leicester, Feyenoord and potentially Tottenham among others.
I think it can be helpful for some teams to understand continental football more. Give a few runnings of this to teams like Fiorentina, Udinese, Verona etc and Italian clubs may finally cope in Europe once again. Unless they treat all tournaments other than the CL beneath them, which is what brought us here to begin with.
Surely they keep 2nd and Rennes 1st.I wonder what Vitesse will do now
