So, even if we lose to City and Arsenal for instance, but win everything else, we'll have a good chance to be amongst the first teams, especially if some of the other favorites fuck up somewhere.
Potentially yeah

as long as the City or Leverkusen game isn't in the first two matchdays, I'm confident of having a great campaign at this stage.

Give me Sparta Prague or Young Boys away first, then Monaco or Arsenal at home.

9-24
25-32 go out

Yeah, it's actually pretty difficult to get knocked out of the tournament in the league phase directly. Not unless you really shit the bed. (Talking big clubs of course.) We'll play a minimum of 10 games, be it 8 + play-off round or 8 + R16.

1-8 directly to r16
9-16 knock off 1v1 to see which 8 make up the r16 round
17-32 go out

It's fairly generous in some ways, some of our recent years we would have had the second shot at making knock out

i'd say city, madrid, bayern, psg, arsenal, liverpool are 99% getting in the 1st eight, those teams are usually really good in groups and have deep squads we just gotta get one of the remaining 2 spots, i think we'll end up being 10th ish when we choke and draw against one of the smaller teams

Correct. I reckon we need to aim top half of the remaining 16, get to r16 that way.

Thing is based on my FM experience at least all it takes is one club to shit the bed a little and it gets interesting

Well, and also a reminder of what I said the other day...

Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool | Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atleti | Inter | PSG | Bayern, Bayer Leverkusen, Dortmund

At a minimum, three of those teams fall short of the top-8. There's more top-8 caliber teams than there are spots for them.

Good have been better but could also have been worse. Confident if we play to our ability we will qualify.

Am I the only who thought some of Pot 3 clubs' opponents seemed better to play than ours?

Ofcourse difficult for them but still, I would have loved Inter to play those kinda opponents. 🤐🤐

yep these things never go as planned, im sure there's gonna be some team from 3rd pot win all their games early and end up in 1st eight lol for us i think it depends mostly on when we play the tough teams.
like if we played city and leverkusen first 2 games we're getting spanked because we're not ready but once lautaro and zielniski are up and running, we should be able to go up against anybody.

What teams? We got literally the weakest from pot 3. With perfect home-away schedule.

We got City which is whatever (I choose and I'll sing the blues if I want). I want them just to play again after that CL final. It is away game and nobody is expecting anything.
We got Leipzig at home which is perfect. You can only debate that Borussia at home could be better draw from pot 1.
Pot 2 is tough you can say. But Arsenal at home and Bayer away is a great schedule.
Pot 3...two weakest teams with perfect schedule (cause we don't need to visit Belgrade). If we don't underestimate them. There is no weak team in CL.
We got Sparta away and they are one of the few weakest in that pot. And we got Monaco, imporantly at home.

This is great.

I have no idea how many points we need to secure top 8 but we should aim to get like 16-17+
