We always had a chance, just now it's a bit bigger. But only a bit, we are still one of the worst 3 teams in the competition right now.

Imagine we get to a point where we have higher odds of qualifying for next season CL by winning this CL, rather than league.

Last time I remember that happening was Drogba's Chelsea.

Ugh. I really did not want Benfica.

Welp, I guess this is how our run ends.

weakest team outside of us and Ac Milan. We got away from Napoli, Real, Bayern and City. It's a big win. We have a shot. Then we are the under dogs for the next round.

Would love Chelsea the next round and Lukaku finally goes back to god mode. Would be hilarious to knock them out with their own player. Or to win Champions league and be like FK u Skriniar you will never win this at PSG

I don't give a flying shit about taking revenge from Milan. I don't want them in the semis, cause that would mean they earn extra money, unwanted relevance of their club in the CL playoffs and tons of crap from their delusional fans about CL DNA going through the expanses of the internet.

The paths are already drawn, we'd get the winner of Milan-Napoli if we were to advance.

Benfica are not weak at all. You might not have seen them play, and they are slightly weaker compared to before due to the loss of Enzo Fernandez, but they play amazing football atm.

Yeah, people here seem to be taking names/past reputation more seriously. Benfica isn't roll over by any means, in fact if you ask neutral fans, most will say that they're favorite over us. I read somewhere that they along with napoli are two most in form teams in Europe this season. Still, It's nice to see that this place can be optimistic once in a while

The fact that somehow a lot of you here believe that Milan, the team that in the last 2 months have lost 4-0 to Lazio & 5-2 to Sassuolo (at home), and it its most recent match couldn't manage a home win against relegation battling Salernitana, will win against Napoli, who are extra motivated given the importance of the potential achievement they can make this year + can also pretty much play their 2nd team in all the remaining matches of Serie A and still win it, is just bonkers.

Pure rational - I agree with you. Napoli are ahead of them without a doubt. Call it a hunch, but I think they'll still beat Napoli - Probably by a small margin and with a big dosis of luck, but I see them advancing to the semi's.

We barely beat Porto. Benfica are comfortably ahead of Porto in the table. Was this a best case scenario draw? Just about, but Benfica are equally thrilled to be seeing us.

Also, fuck Joao Mario forever.

Nah, Joao Mario completely shat on Juve this season, making their problems even bigger. He is a hero for this years group stage

Benfica has a better team and is individually much superior than Porto.
Porto also had several players injured/returnig from injuries during this past month so I have no doubt that Benfica is a much tougher team to face than Porto was.

Benfica also has a big advantage when compared to Porto they are the team in the league that has the best bench, by far, they can afford to rotate 4/5 players in the league with not much problem unless it´s against Porto/Sporting/Braga, they also have an 8 point lead in the league so they can afford to lose points and focus more in the CL whilst Porto played the CL matches with a team running on fumes.

Benfica is highly motivated atm and the team is performing very well, unless they crumble to the pressure of playing in this later stages in the CL be prepared for a much tougher opposition than Porto.

If we score first, I hope we don't stop attacking. Hate it when that happens at San Siro

Ok then. We'll see who is a better team, Inter or Benfica. And good chance to have a semifnal against Milan or Napoli. Good draw!

I like this draw cause there is no excuses for Pussymone now. If you lose to Benfica(idc how good they are, they are not Real or City) you are an ex my friend. We have a great chance to go even to finale. Imagine that...Benfica,Napoli,beelan, they are all beatable.
stop those "beatable teams", underestimate, over confidence, wrong motivation theories shit. those mentalities were the reason why Inter lost against Spezia, Bologna, Empoli, Monza, Sampdoria etc. Just try to persuade the players to win every match available, never underestimate, regardless of the opponent.

We seriously lack a Milito/Eto'o.

Džeko is to a certain degree that kind of player, but too old to be saving our ass.

Lautaro is a wildcard.

Lukaku is hugely off form and out of shape to perform on a high level

Correa is not a football player.
