Just to add to my last post, I loved watching Serie A during the 90s.

When I think of Inter, of course I first think of our 1965 European Cup tie.

It's then the players of the 90s that always stick in my mind. The German trio of Brehme, Klinsmann and Matteus (up against the Dutch trio at AC of Rijkaard, Gullit and Van Basten).

I then think about players like Ruben Sosa, Walter Zenga and Pagliuca the goalies, Nicola Berti, Zanetti, Ronaldo ... and numero uno I think of is Giuseppe Bergomi with the iconic bushy eyebrows :)

Really looking forward to this one.

Welcome to FIF lads, always love to hear from English fans who grew up watching James Richardson & Channel 4's Football Italia. What do you guys feel about this game, how confident are you and what are your fears about this tie.

As you can see here, we all think Liverpool start as big favourites, but its going to be a special game. A big historic CL tie. You guys want revenge for 1965, we want revenge for 2008. For Inter, anything from here on is a bonus, so we hope the team plays fearlessly as it has been this season. Two attacking teams with good defenders. This should a fun.

Hi Mate, thanks for the warm welcome. You have a great forum you have here - everyone seems super cool.

Yes I was brought up on a diet of James Richardson on C4 Football Italia. Golazoooooooooooo :) A golden age of football. I travelled Italy too when I was a student, and can't stay away from Italy to this day. I love the Lombardy region, love Milan and Bergamo too. Beautiful food, beautiful people, beautiful country.

As for the game, I think it's going to be a hard 2 legs for both teams. Both teams have a couple months to adapt their systems to eachothers strengths, and it wouldn't surprise me if this becomes a war of attrition. I can't claim to be an expert on Italian football as these days I only find time to watch Liverpool, but Inter seem to be on the rise again and I'm definitely going to be tuning into Serie A games over the coming weeks to check out the competition. I love Barela - you have a top tier world class talent there. Whilst I'm happy he won't be playing against us, I'm sad I don't get to see him on the pitch. Otherwise, I think we're going to have to be at our absolute best against one of the big guns. Part of me wishes we'd stuck with the original draw of Salzburg lol, but then these are the games that get me really excited.

This will be a great game, Liverpool have been transformed through the work done by Klopp over the years, completely improved every aspect of the club and brought in top players as well. Will be interesting to see the Trident especially Salah who is the best player right now stack up against Inter.

I personally dont think Liverpool are favorites nor does everyone here, should be a great CL tie.

You needn’t concern yourself with the vaccine friend. Far more likely you will be stabbed, have acid thrown in your face, or be blown up by a terrorist in the UK.
Let’s be nicer when speaking about others countries. Unless you want us to bring up your frequent trips to Brazil.

On the brighter side, Inter have already earned as estimated 63m of CL money. Can we spend this on Vlahovic pls?

They sold Hakimi and Lukaku for ~180 mil and got Correa for 30. So if my math is correct we need to make 3,2bil to invest 60mil

You're forgetting our new lord and savior Dumfries. So make that 2,2 billion.

What the fuck is this shit that I am reading?

Firstly, to the Liverpool supporters that have patronizingly posted on here to give us a friendly pat on the back and say how great our Forum is, I only have two words: fuck off.

To the Inter supporters kissing the arses of Liverpool supporters and thanking them for Liverpool's comeback in the Champions League final in 2005, all I have to ask is whether any of you were Inter supporters in 2008? Because for me, that one still hurts.

Accordingly, Liverpool is a cunt football club and their supporters are arse gapers.

Save us from reading your bullshit and go back to posting where ever it is you post.
