In the Italian squad only Gagliardini from Inter, he can have a key role though.

As to the tournament, I'll root for our polish brothers.

Can someone explain to me how the age rules work for this competition? Too lazy to Google, but am confused how dudes born in 1994 are eligible to play.

I remember hearing that if you are under 21 years of age at the time of the first qualifying game then you are eligible to play in the tournament.

Portugal will present a very interesting team, specially if you consider that players that have been playing for the A team such as Renato Sanches and Cancelo.

The midfield is particularly strong with players such as Ruben Neves, Renato Sanches, Geraldes and Bruno Fernandes.
Up front we also have a lot of talend with players like Podence (love him) Iuri Medeiros and more experienced players such as Bruma, Gonçalo Guedes and Diogo Jota.

Let´s see how we do, our defense is not bad at all but we lack, as usual a good striker, we only have Gonçalo Paciência who´s OK but is a bad finisher, he´s not likely to start though we´ll probably play with 2 guys mobile up front.

Yeah well you guys probably would have sent Andre Silva if he wasn't with the senior team

Great assist.

It´s sad that the big clubs grab players so young that easy, Renato is great but he should have stayed with Benfica another year, he had a great half season for Benfica, did really good in the Euro considering his age but he needed another season as a solid 1st 11 player to continue his momentum, now he signed for Bayern, hardly played and in the end of the season people were questioning his signing and the price. Newspapers were saying that he was going to be sold, you can see the pressure got to him because he was always with a big smile on his face and now he seems down and under a lot of pressure, that´s probably why he didn´t start this match, hope this competition works well for him and helps him in some way.

Similar thing for Guedes to PSG, he wasn´t ready yet.

you're right but go tell this to the agent. problem is, good players are going to earn shitloads of money in 15 years or so, but agents need to move them to earn big figures and many of them are able at convincing their clients (mostly because they love to be convinced that they need that extra money).

and even when the player doesn't change team there's always going to be the almost annual request for a raise which is more important for the agent than it is for the player cause after all it doesn't make much of a difference earning, say, 3 or 5 mln euros per year, but it makes a lot of difference if you only earn a small percentage of it.
