I'm finally going to Giuseppe Meazza to see my first Inter game this year. I've booked my trip for September 21 through October 5th. This is really my honeymoon, but I found a way to make it about Inter of course. My wife understands we cannot book any sight seeing until the schedule comes out in late July so that I can make sure we're in Milan for the game. I figured if I'm there between those dates I'm guaranteed to have the opportunity to see at least one game since it's not an international break.

I'm also going to try and see Rome, Venice, Florence, and maybe the Almafi Coast while I'm there. Any tips for getting tickets or overall travel tips for Italy would be greatly appreciated from anyone who's been there or lives there.

Which city are you gonna arriving in? Rome or Milano?

The game ticket depends on the type of the game. However, you will manage to get a pair of tickets closer to the game. It is not a big problem. However, the problem is you cant really plan your trips until the schedule is out as you meed to know when the home game will be.

If you are thinking of Venice, Rome and Florence, then you should group Rome and Florence together and Venice on its own.

Rome probably will take 3 days and Florence about 1 day is enough.

I would travel by train within the country so you can be more flexible with your schedule.

nowadays, the italo train is getting quite popular. https://www.italotreno.it/en

it's a private company, they have modern trains (not that 70 years old crap with disgusting toilets of not all, but yet so many public trains).

it covers the main cities from naples up, it's fast (you can get from rome to milano or vice-versa in around 3 hours) and quite cheap for the service they offer.

they have both no stop trains and trains with intermediate stops, business class and 'smart' class.

If you only intend to visit cities, use the train but if you want to enjoy the mountains or the lakes I'd suggest renting a car for these days.

Tickets: Since I was in Italy travelling at the time, I got the chick at my hotel to get them a couple of days before I got there. I may or may not have called them multiple times to confirm it.

General: Start every conversation with "Ciao, parla Inglese?". Also, don't expect to be able to get any washing done at a laundromat in Milan on a Sunday... Or a ticket on the tram down Sempione when you want to use it.

About the tickets I'd reccomend ordering them from the official site. It'll be much cheaper than any other way, unless that's a big match and there might be a discount for Inter Club members and then you have to contact your Inter Club if you are a member.

If that's a regular game there should be no problem to order the tickets easily from the official site. Then you can print them at home after they are sent to your e-mail.

Heard that tickets to Meazza go on and off and are not available all at once. Anyone knows how this works with Season tickets? Haven't renewed on time and i would like to get a better seat, not sure if I should risk waiting though.

Bought my season ticket in Secondo Anello Verde a few weeks ago, very excited. Due to distance I won't attend every match, but I'll try to be there as much as I can. € 235 isn't really expensive anyway if you see the prices for the games vs Milan or Juve.

What do you define as non shit seat? Also depends a lot on who the opponent is.
Usually you get good seats in the secondo anello arancio for around 40 euros, which is very fair and last time i was sitting there it was vs napoli so it might be cheaper against weaker opposition.

Also the tribune onorario which are supposed to be among the best seats in the stadium are around 80- 120 euros.

I might be able to go to Milano in late January / early February and I hope there's a match home at that time. The game schedule I think comes out on the 20th this month?

I'm ok with paying up to 60 or so euros so hopefully that could get me something good.

Edit: If any of you guys would be there at that time I'd love to meet up.

I'll use this quote at home as evidence that I'm not the only person delaying their honeymoon plans until the fixtures are released!

Speaking of, does anyone know for sure when this will happen? I've come across two dates - either the 20th or 25th of this month.

Do you guys know how much a UCL Champions League Ticket would probably cost for decents seats at the San Siro?

Not an optimal schedule for my trip...

The only game I'd be able to see would be Sassuolo on the 20th of January. First game after the break I guess tickets are more expensive and harder to get a hold of.

Still haven't planned it yet, I might spend time in Paris with my cousin and head for a couple days to Milan or vice versa.

If anyone has any tips for this trip or point me to a thread to check out that'd be appreciated

It's hard to tell... We don't even have a recent term of comparison
