well, to be fair, those are pretty much the same scouts who brought in Salcedo, Lazaro, etc :D

and the same scouts who brought in Palacios :)

I don't think many clubs if any still run an inhouse scouting network anymore these days. Talents discovery has been delegated to local talent agencies who sells scouting data.

The scouts reported, however the directors pulled the trigger.

It seems that following the pandemic they are more careful & considerate with the spending, which might also mean that they spend more time to properly analyse each profile.

Why do people write he might be the next Bastoni? How is this a realistic expectation?! Bastoni proved himself in Serie A and costed more than Pavard (more than €30M)!

Palacios might be the next Gravillon, considering his price tag. However I have total trust in the scouting team and sporting directors - this time they obviously took their time and filtered out potential candidates.

His stats and early performances allow me to expect that Palacios will be better than Gravillon. Or at least his resale value will be higher than the fee payed to acquire him.
batoni deal was inflared iirc

I'm excited about him but worried at the same time. My fear is that Inzaghi won't give him enough playing time or will bring him on in important Serie A or Champions League game when we're chasing a result and the pressure is sky-high.

What were you expecting? Him to bring in the hookers into the hotel before singing? 😅

EDIT: According to Calciomercato.it, there are a few tweaks to the format of the transfer, which remains an overall package of €11m.

The difference is that the guaranteed fee will rise from €6m to €7m, with the rest in performance-related bonuses and add-ons.
How are they changing terms AFTER he landed?!

I guess the club wanted to avoid another Samardzic episode and swallowed it?

Why not? It wasn't agreed before the guy took the flight. It was negotiations going on all along.

Possibly still something between those two Argie clubs and one of them want to make the final squeeze?

Why tf did he take a medical if there's no agreement?
That was exactly my point. Cafe pointed it out like it`s normal, but it`s not how Inter usually operates.

Meanwhile Hermoso is still a free agent:

Don't have one.

It's this. You will always find samardzic dad in upper mngmt of some of these smaller clubs lol. They smelled money, and they are fighting for it like vultures.

Hopefully beppe doesn't snap his fingers like thanos and sends them all to hell alongside palacios
