Inter will be without Italy international midfielder Thiago Motta for their critical Champions League last 16 second leg match against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.
The ex-Barcelona man has not recovered in time for the game, meaning another huge blow for a Nerazzurri side already without Lucio and Diego Milito.
Thiago Motta's absence will likely lead to another start for the attacking midfield pairing of Wesley Sneijder and Dejan Stankovic, who started the first leg but were largely outdone by Bayern pair Luiz Gustavo and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Inter go into the game 1-0 down on aggregate after Mario Gomez's late winner at San Siro.
