with suning out and new owners we will be in deep shit for some time

thats how it is

we manage to build a good team because of stability with suning and marotta

and yes, we were a selling club but with some clear way, not a circus like juve, milan, roma or napoli

only atalanta in top8 can be compared to us
I don't think there was any stability under Suning ownership. Constantly short, no money for transfer policy. Stability was due to great work of Marotta and Inzaghi.

I wouldn't be too defeatist yet - let's see what happens tonight and what happens with leadership. If most of our existing leadership structure stays in place, I feel reasonably confident ahead. The real question is who oaktree sells to.
to me)

You think they won't have buyers lining up immediately? That's possible... I don't know which is a better option for us if oaktree takes charge tbh. Maybe it will be better for us and for them if they wait a little bit. At least that's what the latest rumors are saying.
What I meant is they already decided to sell so we are not waiting for that decision but rather for exact time when will that happen. Oaktree will not be here to run a club but to found new owner for us.

Legal woes did Zhang and Suning in. Funds that were in negotiations with them did their due diligence. Zhang has too many legal battles and demons. We'll be better off moving forward without Suning in the end.

The departure of Suning gonna be the second piece of good news for me this year. Don't get me wrong, Marotta and Inzaghi have done a masterful job despite Suning's poor management. The only thing Suning did right was choosing Marotta and Inzaghi.
Whoever is gonna be in charge shouldn't change anything or anyone for a coupe of years until Marotta's contract.

Perhaps you want an audio breakdown of the Zhang ownership situation?

Yeah I've had that same cynical view myself for years. Money has dominated football, so I won't turn my nose up on a sugar daddy/nation state owner. I'd like for a future owner to maybe convince marotta to stay on longer, since he's been excellent along with inzaghi. Hopefully not selling any core players and keeping the team together.

Bayern and real madrid are in their own universes (previous success -> money -> more success->more money) nice cycle they're in. I don't think any Inter fan expects to join that group any time soon(or maybe at all).

Love how milan fans are like "oh wow serie b title going to b revoked...", yeah so how's that tonali situation? I don't think newcastle was too happy...

This is why I need crypto to take off so that way I can buy Inter. I should've sold all my belongings and bought BTC way back when. Please can xlm just hit $100.00 lol.

There probably is a problem of selling in case the parties sue each other......
As in the club might be in limbo until any legal cases are settled....

To me this all still makes very little sense, with contradicting reporting and obviously false reports.
There is the question as why on earth oaktree should not want the zhangs to re finance since they are not allowed to keep excess profits from any sale of inter.
The other question is why the pimco deal so suddenly fell through when it was basically done according to reports.

The worrying thing is that suning/grand horizon tried to raise 400+ mio.....

Anyways imho the worst thing that can possibly happen for inter is a court battle over ownership, as i m not sure oaktree could sell us on if there are still pending court cases. Sadly right now this seems o be the most likely outcome.
The stunning thing in all this is that the zhangs let it come to this

It’s won’t likely be a court case about ownership, this isn’t likely to happen if it says in the deal that Oaktree can purchase Inter from what ever holding company now owns Inter for the difference between the loan plus interest and market value… the battle will stand on the evaluation of said market value but only IF Oaktree sell Inter above said market valuation. That won’t really affect Inter in any sort of way as it won’t really change the change of ownership.

Zhang holding company likely have nothing that would let them not loose it’s assets as it’s written down black on white.

The only thing I can possibly see is if Oaktree in some manner have obstructed Zhang from taking another loan. However I think it is far more Likely Pimco simply put some requirements on that was hard for Zhang to swallow.

Anyway glad he didn’t succeed we can’t have a owner with no money and in the deep in China, we need an owner that has the finances to be able to make the necessary investments and can afford taking the necessary risk. While I thank them for bringing two scudetto the situation cannot go on we need to move on.

Specially if it means getting rid of that 400 mil hanging over the club.

I don't see how Oaktree should pay anything extra to Sunning for valuation. Imagine, I have a million-dollar house and refy it with Oaktree or other lender. I fell short to come up with the terms. Let's say the loan amount is 500 k. Why should I get 500 k from the lender for fair valuation of the house? I would say, Sunning would get 0 from Oaktree.

Where I live it would be nearly the same, if you cannot payoff your dept, your house go on auction if there anything left after paying off the dept to your lenders you will receive that sum. Your lender cannot pocket more than you own them, however as houses are almost always sold below market value that never really happens, you always have some dept left after and some might even be passed on to the one who purchased your house.

all really depends on the wording on that piece of paper, so if it says Oaktree can only receive what Zhang owes them they would have to pay the difference this can either be through valuation or when a sale is up.

but thats what would happen

if you default on the loan, the bank repossess your house. They sell the house, and they use the proceeds to cover the debt. Any surplus cash left behind goes to you....

dont get me wrong, in the context of us defaulting on our debt, you'd expect Oaktree to take 100% ownership without owing Suning anything, necessarily - I think thats what happened with Elliott and Li - maybe there was even a court case where Li's position was thrown out recently?

But in your ecample about the bank, you'd absolutely get the balance..
